We stayed here 3 nights as part of a 9-night trip. We loved the site we were in (9). It was along the water and opened up to a grassy area and the river. The park is not far off of the interstate. While the traffic can be heard, it was not distracting. There is also a set of RR tracks that run along the freeway. There were 8-10 trains that went by daily.. honking at the RR crossing. The park is relatively small, but the sites all seemed large enough and well spaced. There were a few large RVs there. The camp hosts were super friendly. Flush toilets were clean. The overall condition of the campground is good.

We stayed here for its proximity to Jackson, Grand Tetons NP and Yellowstone NP without having to deal with camping inside the NPs and still stay fairly close to our next stop in W Montana. The park is one small loop. The sites are spacious and clean. The pit toilets are clean. No showers. AT&T service was non-existent for data… phone coverage was just ok. The camp host is very friendly. He was able to point us to an RV dump station at the Palisades Dam campground where we were able to dump after we left. The only negative about the park was the bugs. Not just mosquitos, but also other annoying bugs. The only wildlife in or around the park were squirrels and birds.

As hard as they tried, it seemed park staff could not keep enough water on the campground grass to keep it green. It was 100+ both nights we were there. Our RV A/C never turned off! The water level was so low, the river didn’t even look inviting. The only folks we ever saw were park staff and the poor soles that were tent camping. RVers were all inside with AC. We’d consider staying here again… at a cooler time… for one night while passing through.

We saw snakes, lizards, squirrels, rabbits, frogs, an owl, and lots of geese out on the water.
