Small but Friendly

This RV only campground is quite small. The lower level is completely gravel with some great trees. However, it can get quite hot. We were in sight 11 and from sunup till 5pm we were in total sun. There are a few that have shade all day though. The camp hosts are a delightful couple, very helpful but not intrusive. Mike is excellent at directing even the largest trailer into a sight. The Yuba River is a short hike away with a great swimming hole. Wonderful in those hot afternoons. The campground has free WiFi and a bathroom with showers. This campground is in town so it’s only a short walk (uphill) to the market or restaurant. Close by are several lakes where the fishing is fabulous. This is a dog friendly campground however they do not allow what they consider vicious breeds. So be sure to check if you are allowed to bring them. My MaKenna was not allowed as she is a GDS.

Quiet and family friendly

There are two sections the upper and lower. The upper is more flat while the lower has some pretty good hills. The pads if you are pulling a trailer or in a RV are narrow. As are the roads. We watched several people come real close to dropping into a ditch, as we were yelling “Stop”.

The staff enforces rules about parking and won’t hesitate to call the ranger.

The showers are decent at $.50 for 5 minutes.
