Great Weekend Trip

Great campground for military personnel. Good location for a weekend trip. Make sure you come through the front gate at Harry Wurzbach Rd or you will go through one of the back gates and have mere inches of clearance between barriers.

Quiet River Camp

Great campground for anyone staying in the Gatlinburg area. The river sites are nice and during the winter when the leaves are down you can even get river views from some of the other sites. Sites are wide and provide good privacy. Greenbrier grocery is a cool general store with good local honey from the Greenbrier Bee Company. It’s located just across 321. There is also a good coffee shop heading towards Cosby called The Barista’s Daughter. Be careful trusting your navigation getting around in the area. 454 is not particularly trailer friendly and seems to be a default route for most GPS. Unless you’re local and know the roads, it’s probably best to stick to the main routes.

Building a new campground

Lots of full time military/GS/maintenance employees. Sites are backwards with all hookups on door side. Occasionally loud with jet noise when winds are from the N (underneath the downwind). New park is currently in the planning phase.

Helpful Staff!

Brand new site just built on the other side of the road. Full hook ups and nice shower house/bathroom. The Little Dipper food truck has amazing food. Had a phone fall down one of the pillar supports for the water line and had the host work with us late at night to fish it out!
