Angels Landing Review

This place was just okay compared to other places. I mostly picked this place because online it states that it has a lot more to offer than it actually does, and there is ZERO privacy. Most of the sites are long term, we did get a waterfront site, but because people anchor their boats anywhere they please, this means people were driving their golf carts all over our campsite day and night, and parking their carts all over the back part of our site. Im talking 11pm parking directly outside our windows and talking. Not a fan. Also, the website states that they have a rec center, they don’t. It’s an empty building with no AC. No volley ball. Basketball court has seen better days. Restaurant is good but more expensive than I think it’s worth. One big redeeming factor is that the pool is awesome. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

KOA North Nashville

Not super impressed with the grounds and the noise level, but everything else is great. The highway is really noisy, and the spot we got was full of really harsh gravel and rocks. The wifi is really spotty and kicks you off every 2-3 minutes. The showers are really clean and nice, there is laundry, and the pool is small but clean! Personally I think it’s overpriced for what you get. The weekend looks like they have fun activities and music going on, but we were here on a Monday/Tuesday. There is a shuttle to downtown which was awesome, and the camp hosts were really friendly and helpful!

Country Critters Camground and RV Park

Cute little place to stop for the night, it’s actually $40 a night for water and power hook ups. The camp host was a really sweet older gentleman, the kids playground is decommissioned, but they do have a goat and a mini pony! It’s clean, and friendly, it looks like most of the people who were there are full time park residents.

Great little campground!

Campground is very clean, seriously I’ve never seen cleaner restrooms at a campground! I was camped at the back of the campground and it was really quiet, I couldn’t hear the highway at all. There are bear safes for your food if you are rent camping, and plenty of back roads to bike ride or hike. The camp hosts, Patti and John S. Are awesome too, they drove us to our spot and got us set up with some firewood, and were very friendly. If I wasn’t on my way to the east coast, this is definitely a place I would visit again!

Sand Island Campground

This is a clean, very quiet campground right off of the highway, very easy to find. Lots of people here but you would never know it, everyone has been very quiet thus far! There are petroglyphs a short 5 min walk from B loop that are absolutely fantastic! There is also river access from the boat launch, but I didn’t find any other access places that were easy to get to. There is no power available, but there are outhouse type restrooms and water taps in each loop. Very little noise from the highway, the Verizon phone service is very spotty.

Nice quiet camping spot!

We got tired on the way to Moab, so I found Horse Canyon Road on this app and it looked good for dry camping! Turn into the Horse Canyon Rd rest stop area and just keep driving until you find your type of spot. We stopped about a half mile down the road, lots of places to turn around, and found a mostly flat spot for our Motorhome. You can’t really hear the road, it’s very quiet and gorgeous, with fire rings for if you want to have a fire (fire season permitting). 2 bars of Verizon service.
