This Campground is not for bigger rigs even if they say it is. We have a 41 ft and if I had known, we wouldn't have come here. We are experienced campers and drivers. The spots are tight and you are close to everyone. If you love people this is the spot for you. We like our space. There are activities and 2 pools (one 1 pool for families and 1 for adults). But this is definitely a resort geared for adults.
I loved that we could walk to the beach. The shower houses were super clean, and the staff was really friendly. Full site hook ups, which is unusual at state parks.
Down falls, the roads are tight. I can't tell you how many bigger RVs have hit trees. We have a 40.5 footer 5th wheel, and it was tight getting into our spot and leaving the park. It was also bike week, and cupled with the airplanes, it was very loud.
Easy to book and pay online, nice (short) hiking trails, geocaching, play areas for kids, full hook ups in the upper loop.
Con- weekend crowd destroyed bathrooms, sites are close together, if you get someone who doesn't know how to park in the loop, you struggle to leave
Nice big spaced out spots, that offer full hook ups. Friendly staff, good hiking trails, creeks for kids to play in. Pull through and back in paved sites. They also offer tent sites.
Cons - have to call to book, weekend campers destroyed bathhouses, and lack of cleaning crew
Great county park. Has tent and under 28' ft rv (red) sites and yellow above 28' ft rv sites. Includes pull through and back in sites. Bathhouses are kept clean. Has lots of paved walking trails, fishing, boating, sand beach/swimming, and mini golf. Only reason for 4 stars is there is no septic, just a dump station.
We stayed for 10 days with our 37 ft travel trailer. There's only 3 sites that could realistically handle this size or larger. No sewer hook ups, but thats not an issue for us. The rangers kept the bathhouse immaculate. They take such great care of the whole park! If we get back out this way, we will definitely be back!
