Was only going to stay the night- it turned into 2

My boyfriend and I are on a several month long road trip. This has been our favorite place we’ve stayed at so far in the whole 11 weeks on the road and out of all of our other road trips we’ve done separately. The bathrooms are a little far and there weren’t showers that I was aware of but the views are gorgeous. The beach was warm even in the beginning of April. You can kayak or boat in the lake around the Lone Rock. The biggest problem is people getting their trucks and campers stuck around you all day and night. If you don’t watch for soft sand or go fast enough/are too heavy definitely think about staying closer to the bathrooms or up the hill to towards the road on the paved parts with an RV. We had one guy get his truck and trailer with wife and 3-4 young kids stuck 15 feet away from our tent and said well I guess we will just wait until morning without making any effort to get unstuck. Luckily with help of many friendly neighbor campers and experienced off-roaders they helped get them out. All in all we ended up staying an extra day because the sand was so soft, the weather was perfect and were excited to get some tanning and beach sports in while sleeping next to our car dozens of feet away from others.

Great for Views, Low Maintenance Campers, and the Brave

It’s called Coyote Crossing for a reason. Was woken up from the howling of coyotes ever few hours. Some were walking around our tent. The toilets are true old school outhouses that you climb up into but look something like what you’d see in a Texas Chainsaw Massacre Movie with skeletons of a bull hanging on the back. However it was neat exploring around the hills where you can find millions of years old shells and cool rocks. The sunrise was absolutely gorgeous the next morning and you’re pretty far away from your neighbors.

Views of Paradise and Close to Arches NP

One of our favorite campgrounds we’ve stayed at on our cross country road trip. With Covid looming it was great to stay in a gorgeous campground with not a single other camper there with us. There were toilets and fire rings so it covered our basic needs. If there were showers I would give this campground a 5. The BEST part was the riverside beach down below the campsites. It was gorgeous waking up in the morning to the teal blue water with the breathtakingly beautiful rock formations behind us. Would stay here every time to go to Arches National Park even if there were cheap 5 star hotels nearby.
