Quiet Campground

Had a great stay in Spruce Campground. The sites and restroom were clean and well-maintained. There is no drinking water so bring your own. The sites are a little on the small side so I wouldn’t recommend large campers but it was perfect for tent camping. The tent pads are very large and a nice bonus. The views were spectacular!

Great Stay

We had a great night here during a road trip. I reserved the site online, which was very easy, and the site was easy to locate when we arrived. The office had already closed but we had no problem finding a map and getting to our site.

The campground overlooked town yet we had a great view of the night sky. We had a bit of rain overnight and woke to fog. The showers were free and clean and the sink to wash dishes was a huge bonus. The proximity of sites to the shower building was helpful with a toddler.

We would definitely stay here again.

Great for Small Kids

We stayed here for one night during a road trip. We selected it because of the shower facilities. I had stayed here once in the back-up sites (for those who come unprepared without a reservation) and this time we had reserved a campsite. It was very busy with families on spring break but the sites are far enough apart that you don’t feel too crowded.

The showers were clean and large. It was a very nice amenity for our toddler. The shower room is big with an area to hang clothes and another area to shower. This was very helpful with a three year old.

The Visitor Center was not open while we were there, it’s a new building and I don’t believe it was completed yet, but it looks really nice. The trails around the park were a great way to start our morning and they were well taken care of.

Overall, we love this park and would happily stay here again.

Clean and Quiet

We stayed here for one night on a road trip. We chose site 15 having never been here before because it was close to a restroom and we have a toddler. During our stay there was only one other person in the campground and it was quiet.

We arrived and set up camp at sunset. It couldn’t have been more spectacular. The view of Yuba Lake was great and the site itself was really nice. The shade shelter, tent pad, and table were very well taken care of and clean.

It was a bit windy (our site was on a hill overlooking the lake) so we didn’t really have a campfire but the sky was so dark you could see thousands of stars.

We will definitely be back!
