This is a perfect place on the lake. Out of the way, but still very close to stores and restaurants.

This is a pretty park with a man-made pond and surrounded by pretty natural setting. The roads into this area are narrow, winding and have no shoulder. Not the best for an old Class A, but worth the trip.

We were generally disappointed by the Rangers. The showers in two of the three site loops were closed because they did not have enough staff even though the campground was completely full. The Ranger said the Nature Center was also closed, but they plan on tearing it down anyway. The swim area and the kayak and canoe rentals were closed (again because they did not have enough staff sitting around doing nothing).

It hopefully will be a great park to visit in 2021.

This is a very pretty little historic park with a small man-made pond. Fishing looked good and the kids loved the Pedal Boats.

There are only twenty sites, but most fit larger RVs and some even have sewer hookups.

The staff here are awesome and keep the place very clean. Besides having a nice little exhibit open to experience, they even are keeping the kayak, canoe and pedal boat rentals open (Other Arkansas Parks are keeping some bathrooms, showers, rental boats and exhibits closed because of COVID). Lake Charles SP even closed their beach?!? and they said they didn’t have enough staff sitting around doing nothing to rent kayaks.

Davidsonville is definitely a great place to visit.

This park is close to Lots of stores/food, but once inside you have nothing but beauty.

Swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, playground, and great facilities. Very clean.

This is a series of trails with multiple trail heads. Each trail head has a course gravel parking area and a very nice pit toilet. Bring lots of drinking water. Good for both Mountain Biking and hiking, but hikers need to make way for bikers  

The only real camping would be backcountry camping unless you just want to sleep in your vehicle at the trail head. If your coming from Mountain View you actually pass a nice Campground in Allison; Syllamore Creek Campground

This campground is located just past a low water bridge. There is NO cell service in the park. The camping area has a great swimming hole, beach and shaded hiking. Some enjoy jumping off the rocks/cliff, but I would not recommend it. RV sites with water and electric and full bathrooms/showers. Their is another nearby camping area that has has RV sites, bathrooms, tent sites and group sites. The Rangers and very helpful and informative. There is also parking for backcountry camping/hiking nearby. 

The main trail connects to a network of trails over fifty miles long. There is also a pound with a dam and old mill structure not that far away. There are guided cave Tours with paved walkways and elevators, plus more rugged off-trail caving tours as well. The visitor center is very informative and has a small gift shop. We come here year round for swimming in the summer, hiking in the fall and spring, and caving in the winter.

For a small campground, this place has a lot to offer. Well stocked store, RV sites, tent sites, group sites, cabins, pavilion, and even a stage for events. 

Quick access to the Syllamore Trail, the creek, and nearby mountain biking trails.

Favorite hiking area. This campground makes for a great stop on a long hike or starting point for a round trip hike.

Blanchard Springs has great camp sites, great hiking, multiple access to swim/wade into water, plus great caving opportunities! There is NO cell service in the park.

There is limited shelter during bad lightning storms.  The road in is very dicey and a long way off the main road. Does provide a good place to take out or start a canoe trip and it is free.

You can find Gilbert Gravel Bar off 65 just south of the city of St Joe’s. Go through the city of Gilbert and you will find parking at the end of the road leading to a fairly large beach/gravel  area. You can tent hear in preparation for a canoe trip or as a stop over along the Buffalo River. We usually drop part of our crew, camping gear, and canoes and then park most of our vehicles at South  Maumelle or Buffalo Point. 

There are plenty of supplies and food opportunities in Gilbert.

This park has an unique opportunity while camping; hunting for diamonds. The whole family loves this park!  

The kids will spend hours playing in the mud and hunting for diamonds right along with the adults:-)  There is definitely fun for all at this unusual opportunity to find real diamonds and/or gems.

Pretty little park that we stay in to have a great weekend of hiking at Pinnacle Mountain. Pinnacle is less than two miles up the road. 

Hiking Pinnacle has great views and two ways up the mountain. The main trail up is well defined and moderate to strenuous. The other side of the mountain has a trail that is strenuous to difficult. That trail looks like most other trails until you get to the base. Then it is a “bouldering” trip to the top of the mountain. 

Maumelle has many good sites from tent to 50amp and some nice fishing opportunities.

We have tent camped there many times. Definitely a favorite place for gorgeous views, good Ranger-led Activities and great hiking. The lodge is amazing.

Jacksonport has grown since we tent camped here years ago. Great new Visitors Center, still love the museum (it is closed right now because of COVID), the beach is pretty, but we miss the old Paddlewheel. Nice level sites and shaded.
