Small

This HBO site literally only has two spots to set up your tent. Likely 3 tent max unless you want to sleep on a slope. You can set up on the lockhouse but I don't know if its OK or not

It's good

After taking the c&o detour you're definitely going to camp here. Cell reception after about 25-30 miles of dead zone.

Nice

By far the largest hbo site I've camped at. Nice and well kept.

Pretty nice

Right next to the river but a little overgrown when I camped, Porta p hadn't been serviced so it was more unsanitary the pps usually are.

Same

You can hear the train, other than thatits an ok site

Ok

Train close by

Limited space

As far as the Potomac, this HBO site is one of the closest. That being said, there is very little space to set up a tent unless you want to sleep on a slope. There's a well and a pump but the pump handle is missing so it's a workout getting water. The site is about a 3-5 minute walk from lock 53.

Loud

Campsite is fine, about 30 yards from the Potomac. Like other HBO sites, comes with basics, porta a pot fire pit and picnic table. I have verizon and I get cell and data service, 3 stars because train is super loud

Basic

Good site, has the necessities. Water, Porta p, fire pit. What else do you really need? Want to rinse off? Jump into the Potomac for a swim.
