Not Bad for A Night or Two

Three pretty easily accessible spots on the right, about a half-mile from the highway. Sites 2 and 3 are fairly private, site 1 is in view of Long Draw road traffic. Some highway noise that quiets down during the night, otherwise quite peaceful. Sites each have an established metal fire ring. Not a bad spot to make homebase for exploring State Forest State Park.

Beautiful

Many spots to choose from, all with great views of the water. Very clean pit toilets are available. Some cell service, more spotty in some areas than others. The dirt roads into and around camping sites are all graded very well and accessible by any vehicle, even in the midst of a lightning storm. Super sweet free camping!

Great Spot

Super convenient location for visiting nearby Arches & Canyonlands National Parks, as well as Moab. Little to no natural shade available, so it does get hot during the afternoons. There are a plethora of spots to choose from, easy to find a place on Memorial Day weekend. GPS coordinates take you to the entrance, there are many offshoot roads to drive down from there. There is a short stretch of fairly deep sand near the entrance that can be a little bit sketchy. Roads are rough dirt and rock, higher clearance is needed the farther back you go. Went a couple of miles in a small 2WD pickup, but wouldn't recommend taking a sedan too far back. Some cell service in the area, porta-potties are available near the entrance. Nice view of the mountains. Would come camp here again.
