Disappointing

Pull-thru campsites (very few of them) were long and narrow. Neighbors were quite close. WiFi was practically non-existent. Too many trees to get any satellite TV service. Sewer hook-ups were poor. They were all too high to get good drainage. Ours kept getting air-locked. No pool, no playground, very small beach not family friendly. Firewood that was sold in the office was too wet to burn. The only good things were that it is very close to St. Ignace, MI and the campground was located on Lake Huron.

Beautiful location, but.....

This park was in an absolutely beautiful area, but it needs a lot of TLC. Many of the sites were overgrown and there are a lot of rundown permanent sites here.

We had a full hookup site and are not pool users, so I’m not aware of bathroom or pool conditions. This is a very peaceful park and a short ride to the Horicon Marsh which is a must see for bird-lovers.

I hope the owners are able to put some more time into caring for this campground and turning it into the exceptional park it has the potential to be.

Now called “S’more Fun Campground”

Park has several types of sites available, some rustic, some full service and some in-between. Park is very wooded, campsites are close together. We were there over Memorial Day weekend and despite the park being full, it was still very peaceful.
