This spot is AWESOME! The tent sites are centrally located, but the location feels super private. The tent sites have access to laundry, good drinking water, dish washing, bathrooms, HOT showers(!), fire rings, picnic tables, and some spots even have platforms for tents. Each spot is enclosed with foliage. There are stairs up to the spots, so do know that before bringing heavy items, but it’s totally worth it. We stayed three nights and I will definitely be back.

We really loved it here! This was our second time to the campground. The first time was on a weekend and every single spot was full. This time we arrived on a weekday and it made a world of difference - there were only a few other people around! The campsites were huge (see photo) and there was a lot of privacy between spots. The lake is lovely and there is a rental place that you just have to call and they’ll be there promptly. The bathrooms were also very clean and well maintained. We will definitely be back

We ended up here Memorial Day weekend because the other sites around Delta were full, but boy am I glad we made it. The campsites are large enough for multiple tents, have fire rings, and most have picnic tables. The bathrooms are also well maintained and the spots spaced out enough so you’re not right on top of your neighbors. What really makes the campground, though, are two things: Number one, NO BUGS! We saw maybe 5 mosquitoes over two days (which is unheard of in interior Alaska), and number two, THE VIEWS! Behind most of the sites is access to Donnelly Creek and boy oh boy the views of the Alaska Range are magnificent. We had a beautiful walk along the path and while it was windy, it was a beautiful day. The only negative is the amount of traffic in the highway nearby because of the proximity to the pipeline, but it’s not something that will keep us away.

We camped here just this past week and it was wonderful. There are a variety of campsites, some large enough to accommodate an RV, as well as well-maintained restrooms, well-water, a dumpster, and every site had a picnic table and fire pit with grate. Some of the campsites are on the river and some are across the street from it, but there is access to the Clearwater river from the day use area for all visitors. The campsite is still close to town if you need supplies, about a 20 minute drive. This is now one of my favorite sites in the state. A quiet, beautiful spot to camp, engage in water sports, and fish.

We camp here every fall. The drive from FAIRBANKS is absolutely gorgeous, especially when you turn off at Davidson Ditch to drive into Ophir Creek Campground. There are great hikes on the way to the campground and when you drive in almost all of the spots have water in their “backyard” since the sites are usually situated on a bend near the creek. There is usually a good mix of RV’s, trailers, and tents. The grounds are kept up nicely and it’s usually pretty quiet.
