Overnight Shelter with Electrcity

We stayed at site #32 which as a great view of Lake Waco.  We didn't end up using the shelter other than to charge our cooler and cell phone. The  inside of the shelter was quite dirty and have a lots of dead bugs.  The site was huge and was right besides the water - good for fishing.

Beautiful lake for fishing

Beautiful and calm lake. Great for fishing, kayaking and canoeing.  Only drawback is the bathroom can be cleaner and provide sink for washing

Clean campground at Sam Rayburn lake

The restrooms are very clean.  Lots of shade and good shelter over the picnic table. Beautiful sunset at the lake.  Lots of boaters camp there. Good cell reception.  Most of the sites have water and/or power.

Great for tent campers

Most of the campgrounds are small so you won't be camping beside a big rig.  Lots of trees for privacy, most campgrounds are beside the Colorado river (but no direct water access).  We arrived around noon, most of the sites were occupied but we found one that is checking out so we grabbed it.

The campground has a large table and a huge fire pit.  Most are within close walk to the outhouse.

Driving to Moab town center, as well as Arches National Park is about 15-20 mins.  Overall an incredible experience.
