This lake tends to get a little rowdy on the holidays/weekends. The rv sites are not in the best location in regards to the water, so we prefer to camp non electrical here
Sandy beaches at most of the tent campsites are our favorite things about this lake! Also, super affordable camping.
We just used it as a home base for our little airstream trailer while we were exploring Colorado Springs and manitou springs, and hiking the incline and Barr Trail! Had showers, that were decent, but really wouldn’t recommend if you are doing anything besides showering or sleeping.
It was a little farther from the lake than we’d have liked, so we prefer baby doe campground over this one. It’s clean and quiet, but there are no showers, and it has a hassle hauling all our stuff the several hundred yards to the lake.
Quiet clean campground with gorgeous views of Turquoise Lake and the surrounding mountains!
We have tent camped and also used our 16 pull behind camper at an electric site. Campsites are on a first come first serve basis here. We love how quiet and clean the campgrounds always is, and the wildlife running through the campgrounds is incredible! Perfect place for families!
