We arrived late to the campground, super friendly campground hosts were more than happy to accomodate us. The campground was clean and tucked away behind trees. Lots of privacy and we even had our own pier out to the water behind our campsite. Would definitely recommend planning ahead because there are no shops anywhere near the vicinity and forgetting something will cost you a good 30 min drive. Looking forward to coming back!
Awesome place to snorkel and scuba dive! The water is crystal clean blue but very cold. We made the mistake of not bringing wetsuits and it was freezing after a while, so definitely bring a wetsuit if you can. Campsites are available and well maintained.
One of the best state parks I have ever visited! Really well-kept and run. Lots of activities to keep busy, you can fish off the pier, lounge on the beach, rent kayaks or even take the shuttle to go snorkel at shell island. Really stunning. Just be sure to book the campsite well in advance, this place is super popular and fills up very quickly.
This was a great find! Beautiful views of the river and lots of trails to enjoy. The camping facilities were very well-kept. Would definitely recommend checking it out!
Super pretty canyon to go explore in! We camped at the primitive back county loop. It requires a hike into the canyon, so fair warning. Watch out for tons of spiders, the path is covered in webs. Overall it was a great experience and the canyon is beautiful!
Super nice primitive sites! Would advise to book Campsite 2 or 3 as they are more spacious and provide better river views. Overall, well kept and neat. You really feel like you are in a pine forest all by yourself. Looking forward to coming back.
