Well-maintained campground! The restroom/shower facilities are clean and well lit. Campsites are nicely wooded and spacious. Most are very unlevel though - so bring ALL your blocks! 😜 Good hiking and a fun and clean sandy beach. Also a nice biking/walking trail. For those with boats, this is a nice sized lake with easy access too!
The campground hosts do a great job of accommodating special needs. We have stayed here three times in the last year and have required extra space/accommodations to bring a wheelchair-bound family member to our campsite. The Oabache trails hosts allowed us to extra space for parking and loading/unloading. Grounds are well-maintained and the shower facilities/restroom were very good.
Nicely wooded KOA. Sites are level and clean, with nice touches like colorful Adirondack chairs and decorative live plants at many campsites. Roomier than most KOAs we have stayed at, with small privacy fences and patio tables to enhance the space. Also have some fun features for kids such as large chess set, pedal cars, a basketball goal, lIve anImals, and a swimming pool. Unfortunately it does not seem that the owner likes children, as he is inappropriately hateful to them. We have stayed at this KOA three times & 2 of the 3 he has yelled at kids & parents in a hateful & condescending manner about behavior in the swimming pool. He could have handled in a much more professional manner. He is rude & angry. We won’t be back.
We love this campground so much that we return every year! Great riverside sites. We take our own rafts and kayaks, although both are available for rent/purchase at the camp store. Our boys & friends spend most of their time in the river, but also enjoy the quarry lake with inflatables & paddle boats. The campground also has fabulous cabins at a reasonable price. Our friends without campers join us in the cabins. All together there were 50+ in our party this year & a good time was had by all!
We arrived late on a Monday night, easily accessed our late check-in instructions and quickly set up our 42-ft trailer in a very level pull-thru site. Our boys headed straight to the ping pong table and corn hole boards in the well-lit covered shelterhouse. Later in the week they also enjoyed the heated pool. The campground restroom and shower facilIty was clean and convenient, and although we dId not need to do laundry during our stay, I noted that the laundry facilitIes were also excellent. ThIs campground is 5-10 mins from downtown GatlInburg & also on the trolley lIne. Great place - we will return!
