Retired Army,

Big rig friendly - Level gravel Lots

Kind of close but nice and clean with cabins on the river and primitive tent sites as well. Extended stay with some permanent sites. Also have plenty of room for RV storage. Verizon service shotty with poor WIFI. Suppose to be installing Wi-Fi extenders shortly.

Plenty of hiking trails

Desoto State Park campground is located about 15 miles from Fort Payne Alabama. Nice spacious sites some gravel and not very level. But all asphalt sites that are pulled through are pretty much level. Bathrooms wash houses and laundry rooms were very clean. Would stay here again if nothing more than just to hike the trails. Plenty of Falls to see.

A nice place for the night

Most sites a walk from the office. Only spent one night here. The showers were in a bathroom by itself meaning no others in the same room as you. A little rundown but clean. The site we stayed on was not level and no parking pad. There was a large grass field right in the middle of the grounds with no shade trees. The sites were shaded though.

Only one night

A clean campground right off of the roadway. I can't say much about this place other than the restrooms were clean with the exception of these large biting flies! Campsites with large and well-maintained but very close together.

A small campground that's off the beaten path

This is a small quaint Campground just off of I-26 near Erwin Tennessee right on the nolichucky river and off of the beaten path. Restrooms were a little rundown with very little to do. Nice gravel pads that will not accommodate anything much longer than 35'. It looks like most sites are full time and run down. Note that this CG is not far from a nuclear fuel service plant which is also on the Nolichucky River. Closest services are in Erwin Tennessee.

Very well kept, and not crowed at all

We really enjoyed our overnight stay here. The resort is gated with a person at the gate 24/7. The restrooms were very clean and the swimming pool was not crowded at all.The Las Vegas RV Resort is approximately 4 miles from the strip but Samstown Casino is within walking distance where you can catch the free shuttle to Harrah's Casino on the strip.

Tucked back in the woods

Not the best campground we've stayed at. When reserving an RV site just be known that this is inside of an Association of deeded property and you will be required to pay for access to the pool, slide, tennis courts, BB Ball court and rentals of golf carts and Horseback riding. If you do not have a tow veh. There is allot of walking involved. Not that it is a problem but one of the pools and lake are a hike from the campground. My suggestion would be to have a shuttle available when you have no other means of transportation (Golf cart rentals are limited). It is an older CG that could use upgrading of the restrooms and electrical wiring as we did experience some low voltage drops. The campsites are fair. Our site fit our 32' Coach with enough room for a sedan to park in front of the site. There is however additional parking. The Country Store lacks a lot to be desired and Ice was in limited quantities (none at the CG office). The Staff was very friendly and courteous . It is an older CG . Reminds me of, and possibly was a Jelly Stone Campground.

Outstanding hiking opportunities

Stayed at this beautiful park and enjoyed every minute of it! Very nice specious sites to include primitive tent sites. Trail access to the Appalachian Trail among many others. Very clean restrooms all with showers and hot water. The only down falls were no sewer hook ups at the sites (there are two dump sites) and no cable or internet access. But who needs the tech hook up when you have all this nature.

Very nice spacious pull thru sites with full hook ups and asphalt pads. Campground is reserved for active duty, National Guard, reservists, retired, 100% DAV. And DOD Civilians at Fort Benning. 2 night minimum stay

Very nice spacious pull thru sites on asphalt pads. Swimming pool, bait and tackle store

Boat launch on the Chattahoochee river. This location is owned and operated by the Ft Benning MWR  and is located just outside the gates of Ft. Benning on the Alabama side of the Chattahoochee River. 72 RV Sites w 15,30, 50A/S/CATV
