Very friendly and helpful owners. Very accommodating. We were here for the eclipse and was fantastic for that. Some of the facilities such as kayaking etc not open yet due to time of year.
Stayed two nights after YNP. Sites gravel, level, hook ups good. The pool was closed for cleaning after some flooding when we arrived, but had it open very soon. Grandkids liked the pool.
Quite at night.
Nice place for a few days.
Showers and rest rooms clean and good.
Stayed here one night on way to YNP. Very nice and quite. Clean flush toilets. There are no hook ups.
The road in is long gravel road, but smooth. The sites are short and tree branches low. We have 10 foot high 19 foot travel trailer and it was fine for us. I think for any unit more than 30 feet will have trouble.
We liked it as overnight stop.
This park is clean, and just outside of Badlands National Park. The pool was great per our Grand-kids. Liked swimming and seeing Badlands at the same time.
The only problem the sites are short, but big rigs still parked here and intrude onto the road a bit. I had to back out of my pull through site as the rig across from me had his motorcycle parked in front and was partially on the road. But I don't blame the park for this but the camper.
We stayed in loop C, all the loops other than E are tight and very close together. It rained each day and there was a puddle in our site most of the time. The place was clean and bathrooms very clean. If you can get a site in loop E they are concrete pads including under picnic tables. There were no picnic tables on loop C.
Very convenient for seeing the Park, quite at night. Loop C did have trees, where loop E does not have many trees.
This site is not open August 2023
Stayed at KOA in Miles City MT on way back from Yellowstone National Park August 2023. This place is clean, wife thought they had the cleanest and best showers of all the places we stayed for two weeks. I agree. Easy pull through and you are led to your spot. The people help you line up with hook ups. Quite at night, great pool.
Stayed one night on a Sunday. Mostly empty but you can see it is heavily booked for the Fourth of July weekend. They just added electric hook up to some sites in the South End. Right now the price is the same for electric or non-electric sites.
Sites are large and decent spacing between sites. Heavy tree cover with mostly shade.
The site was mostly gravel with nice fire ring and picnic table.
