Laundry day

Got here around 7pm. The only sites available are tent sites which is fine as we are self contained and small. The tent sites are flat for parking. The bathrooms are clean. The Big rigs are very close to each other. The only downside is it was a cold night and a few rigs turned a generator on. Nice store. No front loader laundry. But the laundry was pretty quick. The staff is very nice.

Ridge top view

We stayed on the ridge top. It had one bathroom for about 5-6? Spots. There are many more camp spots below the hill and plenty of other bathrooms. The bathrooms were very nice. Clean and garbage and recycling next to camp. Nice camp host and she was very busy! I think there were 80 other tents spreading out down below. We never heard anyone. I think the ridge top site is more expensive. We payed $20 per person. I would stay here again. If you have a small group the ridge would be ideal. Private, Your own bathroom and Beautiful views.

This is a very small area

This is a small well maintained campsite next to the main road. It had potable water, clean sites, clean bathrooms, tent pads, BBQ, picnic table with shade covers, day use area and NPS workers showed up. It had an easy check in kiosk where we used a credit card. The sites that were on top of hill have a lot of road noise. The sites that sit lower and also further away would be your best bet. 15 was flat but noisy. There were not many sites available when we pulled in at night. 4? Available at 7pm on a Sunday.

A Full Recreation Area with camping

A minimum of water and electric at every site (which we don’t need) The feel is more community park with camping. There is a 12 mile equestrian trail which bikes are allowed to ride on. Other flat trails are around the park and water. It is completely full this Saturday and there are lots of families, music and fires burning. I do not consider this to be a serene wilderness/wildlife area but a Camping area full of activities. Looks like a great place for a family reunion or wedding. Complete with frisbee golf, boating, swimming, dog park, playground and more. The grounds are very well kept.

Closed for bridge repairs

They are closed for bridge repairs. Sent down the road. There is no access to trails due to construction

Ocean view

Not to many campers. Probably because it’s cold and windy today. You can drive on the beach. Plenty of Verizon cell service. The water is cold but the bird watching and drive here was beautiful, serene and no traffic (again cold, windy and February) There is a row of port of potties at entrance of beach. The camping is free

Big Rig Spot

Immaculate grounds and amenities. A Pool and playground. Very Nice Owners. This was a quiet campground with hook up and electric. Laundry and a small store. They meet you at the gate and drive you in. They also have WiFi although Verizon worked well.

2 mile drive in

This is a quiet Forest. I stayed at camp 1, site 1. There is a code to lock on gate when you go in. No amenities but 1 pit toilet. 4 sites in camp one. Quiet. Signs for active bears but we saw none. Did the 10 mile single track flat bike route. I saw not much wildlife or birds. It was a foggy overcast day.

Beautiful new bath house

Two small loops. Enough space between sites you are not to crowded. Trails to explore. It has been quiet and the RV site area is mostly full.

Quiet

Small 30 sites on a little loop. The sites are close together with one bathroom. Boat launches. Beautiful trees and walking/hiking paths.

Quiet night

It was nice and quiet at night. It had sinks around camp for dishes etc. a small beach to launch your boat or paddle board to tour the mangroves. It has socks for big boats. It’s more permanent RV/homes with a couple rows for nightly rentals. The bathrooms were a bit of a walk from tent sites.

Clean!

Clean bathrooms, showers and grounds. Super friendly and helpful people who run the campground. It has a waterfront and boat access. It has a short trail out of camp and short quiet bike ride on road. It is a bit expensive but I think most of them are. It is close to the main road and a bridge. It’s only drawback I can find is the noise from the main road.

Nice place

Close to Acadia. Very close campsites. Has a nice pool. Has clean bathrooms. Laundry and store. We were happy to stay here it was quiet enough and friendly service.

Peaceful river

Peaceful little gem at the river. Took a canoe up the river for a couple hours. Kind people. Clean Would definitely stay again.
