Slice of heaven ❤️

We loved tent camping at Wekiwa. It had a little bit of everything for us. We were lucky enough to get a spot on cancellation. The sites are decent. They are shadier in one area than another. Everyone was so nice and it was peaceful at night. We enjoyed the springs and have kayaked before. This time we made the trip over to Kelly/Rock springs to tube. There are quite a few trails to explore. We want to go back!

Take me back...

There’s not much shade and there can be plenty of mosquitos depending on the time of year but it’s a fair trade for sleeping on the edge of the wild. We tent camped right on the water and woke up to dolphins swimming by every morning. We saw crocodiles, alligators, every bird and more. I absolutley love being out where I don’t hear road noise. I would definitely only go in the winter. We will go back!

Party people only

This place caters to the party crowd. If that’s for you, by all means GO! It is beautiful and I guess if you want a throw down party, that’s your place. We had a horrible experience and will not be back. If you don’t like loud, crazy, all night parties I would still recommend going for a day trip at least once.

Shark teeth!!!

We came here as tent campers. It was a last minute location switch. It was almost exclusively RVs when we were there. That’s usually not our thing but we were pleasantly surprised with our site, the friendly people and the river access. We ended up enjoying a party at the pool and the bathrooms were nice.

One stop gator shop :)

We camped at FEC this past January 2018. We were tent camping for the long weekend. We were in a spot right on the water which was peaceful. Camping is tight in that area so if you prefer more space you may want to go to the field areas. This is a fun little campground for kids with activities and karaoke at night. We rented kayaks on Sunday. We were dropped off in the woods and kayaked through 200 gators! The only con for me is that there IS road noise from the highway.
