We have been here a few times and can’t wait to go back, any time of the year! We have a two and a half year old and it’s perfect for us in a 28’ fifth wheel. Paved roads for bikes, huge playground, nice store, warm pool. It’s perfect for families. I wouldn’t recommend this for campers who like solitude, of course, or someone looking for a romantic trip. I would recommend booking away from the jump pillow or playground, unless easy playground access is important, because the spots are pretty noisy. Otherwise, it’s a perfect spot for families, close to the boardwalk and the aquarium.
We had a very nice stay for a long weekend. The pull through spaces are extremely tight to the point that our slide out was hitting vegetation and our neighbors awning was about two feet from our Rv. But, if you expect that, it’s a great place to stay. Very clean, well maintained, and about a 20 minute walk to the ocean. Decent takeout from the restaurant and great cocktails! Very convenient dog park. We had almost the entire row to ourselves after checkout on Sunday. We will definitely return for the full experience when all restrictions are lifted, but will leave our two big dogs at home as there wasn’t much space for them.
All dirt campground along side a quick moving river. Not as crowded as some of the other campgrounds in the area but not particularly secluded either. Plenty of room for our pop-up and two large dogs.
I have been here twice, and it was nearly empty both times. The first time, we were inexperienced and it was our very first camping trip - we didn’t realize how low in elevation this campground is and man was it HOT. Swimming was not great either so that wasn’t much relief. However - we had PLENTY of room for ourselves and our two big dogs, and plenty of privacy. We made it down the road just fine in our truck pulling a 23” popup, but it’s slow going with a few very tight turns. Might be fun during cooler weather if I were with a group and worried about disturbing other groups at a busier campground, but I doubt we will be back.
This campground is only 30 minutes from our home so it’s a very easy weekend get away for us. The road is paved almost all the way to the campground and it’s not far from the highway. For these reasons it’s a very popular campground, I would not expect to show up Friday morning and get a spot. We always have a back up plan in case it’s full. Definitely a busy campground, it can be noisy with kids on bikes and lots of cars driving through. The camp host is very helpful and keeps the bathrooms (vaulted) very clean. There are spots to swim and fish. We never had a problem parking our 27” pop up in any of the spots. If you’re looking for an easily accessible, family friendly campground, this is your spot!
