Something's off

Drove 2 hours from Denver, getting directions from the map in this app. Directions end in the middle of Turquoise Lake Rd. Literally middle of the road. No parking, no trail, nothing. This area I was guided to is part of Turquoise Lake Recreation Area. And since it's a rec area there is NO dispersed camping. All are developed sites. Never saw a "Homestake Road". What am I missing?

Partial closures

Jun 22: Areas to camp in are limited (thankfully) and spread out. Due to high traffic of campers BLM has posted "No Camping" signs along part of the road up until the fork. And because of dry weather area is in a Stage 1 (no open fires). PLEASE, pack it in pack it out. LEAVE NO TRACE. Winter Park relies on the Vasquez Creek for drinking water.

River side camp site

Cozy campground with (I believe) 6 camp sites. Fire rings at each site. River runs next to campground and may be accessed walking through bushes. Separate M & F vault toilets available.
