Stayed here for a month, upon getting there attendant saw my dog and kinda snarky with the rules. Expect the water to just shut off on you early in the morning every other day due to maintenance. No one cleans up after their dogs and the trash cans/dumpster is always full. Sites flood pretty bad.
The drive in is something not to be missed, one long road that twists and turns. But it’s so pretty. At the campsite the workers are very nice and helpful. They keep the grounds in top shape. You can launch a boat or in my case a paddle board right from campsite. If you have an issue late at night someone is able to be reached by phone.
Website said trail for primitive was good for beginners. It isn’t. That was a pretty difficult trail. Also for primitive don’t plan on bringing anything other than a backpack cause you will need your arms for support during certain climbs. They need photos of actual trail w/ site photos.
