Great little campground near Paragould

This campground was perfect for our little family reunion near Paragould. We booked three sites together and they were close enough that it was easy to visit each other. It was also a very nice little campground with lots of shade and the bathrooms were very clean and had showers. We also enjoyed the little lake and playground for the kids. The only downside were the mosquitoes, but one of us had a screened canopy that went over the picnic table, which worked great. We were very impressed with the staff and the campground and will likely return.

Lovely park/tight campsite

This was a beautiful park with lots to do, especially for kids. The information center was large and the employees were very friendly. We were in sight number 28, which I picked because it was close to the bathroom. This campground is better suited to large RVs than to our teardrop trailer. Site number 28 was very tight. We were cramped in between two large RVs and next to a road so there was no privacy at all. It was very hot that night and since we don’t have air-conditioning, we had to have the windows open. One of the RVs had their light glaring in our window all night. There were also a a lot of unattended children and some of them made a mess in one of the bathrooms, which were previously clean. The host was very friendly however. I would highly recommend for a family in an RV, but it was not appropriate for a retired couple in a little tiny camper.

Air conditioned restrooms!

I booked a site at the Buffalo Bend Campground in Foss SP while traveling on Highway 40. The park is a little bit far from the highway but a pretty drive. We were in site BB002 which had decent privacy. Unfortunately, it was a very hot and humid day but we were pleasantly surprised by the air-conditioned bathrooms. I’ve been camping a lot, but that was a first! The area in Buffalo Bend did not have views of the lake and there was no breeze but the bathrooms had clean showers.

Quiet and pretty campground

This was a stopover on our trip along Highway 50 and I was very pleasantly surprised. A very quiet and beautifully maintained campground and they even had flush toilets and showers. Hidden gem for sure. Next time we will stay more than one night and try some hiking and visit the lake nearby. Again, this campground is very well-maintained. Clean campsites and bathrooms and beautiful views. We stayed in site number two, which was a very nice site. There was also some privacy with the native pines and junipers.

Peaceful with nice views

Rocky Point was one of two campgrounds we saw in Santa Rosa Park. All sites had picnic tables, some sites had electricity and water, and some sides just had water. The bathrooms in Rocky point had flush toilets and showers. The bathrooms were very clean. The camp host was very friendly. This was a very nice campground and not too far from Highway 40.

Wished we had stayed longer!

The Basin Campground was a wonderful in so many ways. The sites  are clean and well maintained. Our site had a great view of the colored rock hills. Kodachrome wasn't as crowded as Zion so much more enjoyable. The bathrooms…the showers were spa-like!  There were several enjoyable trails nearby and I would highly recommend the nearby drive to Grosvenor Arch. There is a place to do laundry and the visitor's center has wi-fi, ice cream, snacks, and souvenirs. I'm surprised but glad it isn't as crowded as Zion.

Cute and tucked away

I chose this campground as a stop over close to Highway 50 on our way to Utah from California. It was a very nice little campground, very clean, and well-maintained. The host was very friendly as well. It was a nice area to walk around in. The only issue was the mosquitoes at dawn and dusk, but we took care of that by hanging out in our clamshell tent.

Lots to do

I would have given this review five stars if the sites had more privacy. The sites are a reasonable distance apart, though. That said, there is so much to do and see nearby, even within walking distance. The campground is right next to several paths, a boardwalk, a marsh with lots of ducks, and a monarch butterfly habitat. I don’t know if we were just a lucky, but the campers all seemed very friendly as well. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and private. There were plenty of hosts/rangers so we felt safe. We would love to go back again.

Sweet spot

The quail campground is a nice spot for small to midsize campers and tents. Our spot number 19 is perfect. It was close to a trail going down to the river. We like it so much we will try to book that spot again next year. The hosts were very nice and the bathrooms were very clean. What more could you ask for?

Quiet and convenient

We have camped here twice because it is a convenient location on our way from California to other states. But it is also a pretty area. Even though it is first come, first serve, there were plenty of sites available both times we stayed. There are relatively clean toilets with toilet paper,a waste basket, and hand sanitizer. We were OK in our trailer, but we had to pull down our awning because the wind was extremely strong overnight. We noticed a few of the tent campers left in the middle of the night. A warning to tent campers to check the weather before camping there.

Beautiful and convenient

We will be back to this campground when we we can stay more than one night. There’s a lot to do in the park and the campground itself is very nice. One small, but nice detail are the tiedowns around the tent sites.

Beautiful views and clean

Beautiful sunsets! We stayed February 5th and 6th at site #23 but it looked like most of the sites had great views of the Pacific. The campsites are roped off and have a decent amount of distance between them. There is some vegetation between them but not enough to be totally private. We were just a short walk to the bathrooms which were spotless. They were being cleaned frequently. The showers are coin operated but it didn't take many coins to get a decent warm shower.

There is a nice day area and trails within walking distance. The tide was high both times we tried to walk under the highway to get to the beach but there were parking lots just a short drive up the road.

We will definitely go again.
