This was our first try at dispersed camping and we hit the jackpot! Beautiful, up on a hill with great views of the sunrise and sunset. Took the advice of the first reviewer to take the second left and the road was easily accessible with our SUV and pop-up. Lots of kindling for a fire and lots of spots to park.
The actual campground was pretty and had lots of sites that were fairly secluded. However, when we were there, there were quite a few campers that appeared to be transients, with broken tents and clothing strewn throughout the trees. I don’t know if this is typical of this area or not, but something worth mentioning in my review. The roads were also mostly gravel to get there (coming from the west). We were pulling our pop-up, and it was ok, we just had to go slowly.
