Came here for mother’s day camping trip. Very nice, clean and open camp ground with lake access . Instead of camping in the main campground we found a few spots ( that seemed to be part of the park) 1/4 mile south that had 4-5 spaces away from everyone else. No picnic tables but had a fire ring with grill. Only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars was because it is right off of the highway. I’m sure traffic would be annoying mid summer.
This campground was perfect for our mid-October camping. For it being a busy spot, we found a larger site mid day and was the perfect distance away from Moab/Arches/Canyonlands/Sand Flats Rec Area. Very quite at night and the sites were well maintained and clean.
From the very get go, our lady at the desk to check us in was very winded. It took well over 10 mins to get us set up with all of the information about the campsite that we needed. We were directed to bathrooms far away when they ended up being no further than 20 ft away. Not to mention it took a code to get in, oh right, that wasn't mentioned. Directions to the campsite were wrong, we couldn't use the firewood we brought ourselves and our site didn't have a proper place to park. Everything was just a little confusing and made a bit harder than it had to be.
