Very clean. Very quiet at night…. almost too quiet! We stayed because we love nearby Brigantine beach and it was a last minute booking.
We didn't use the campground facilities too much. They had a little party by the pool with a DJ and food on July 3rd. My daughter made friends with kids her age in the pool. My husband and son did play pool one night in the community center. There's a cute brewery right around the corner and a burger place called Tony Beef. We liked them both!
As another review mentioned, there are several contract workers staying there and we found them to be really helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area and RV care. Their rigs were impeccable! We met a few people from Texas, Iowa and Florida here and we really enjoyed talking with them.
We have a small TT so my family did utilize the bathrooms for shower conveniece after the beach and they were SUPER clean.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely come again for a short Brigantine beach getaway.
The gravel lots were great too! I can definitely see where the previous reviewer said they had trouble with leveling from to back. We have a very small TT and pulled back as far as we could otherwise we would have been on a slope as well.
The staff is friendly. Facilities are clean. Very quiet and peaceful at night with lots of activities for the kids during the day. Will definitely be back!
To be expected, this place was packed on a nice October weekend. Boy Scouts and families.. Overall quiet considering the amount of people. Nice trails. Close to Lake Nummy. With that said, the bathrooms were disgusting. Little maintenance and cleaning was provided during our weekend stay, especially during a global pandemic.
Atsion is a hidden gem. Bathrooms continuously clean during Covid. Lots of families. Beautiful sunsets and great hiking trails close by.
The campground is fine. Bathrooms seemed as clean as a state park during a global pandemic can get… my frustration came with the noise level and the site I booked. Sites 14, 16, 59, and 57 (I think) all share a common area. It lacked privacy and our inconsiderate neighbors partied alllllll niggghhtttt llooonngggg as well as many other people in the South campground. After 10pm, the music volume was high and campers were LOUD. I was smart enough to bring earplugs. It's buggy… to be expected but the general vibe here was not my thing. People here just wanted to get sloshed and loud. I wanted a place to crash after hiking and going to the beach all day. 🤣 Mostly my mistake for picking the site I did from lack of familiarity of this campground. Probably will not be back, unless during the week and a more secluded site.
