This campground deserves 5 stars because the views are breathtaking. Electrical hook-up for RVs. Water. Dump station. Tent camps available. Our own experience is more like a 3 because while the campground was open, the bathrooms were not. Water was not available either. If this happens to you, jump in your vehicle, make a right from the park and there is a boat launch area about 5 mins from the campground with a nice composting toilet. But the skyline was worth it.
A huge campground for both tents and RVs. Electrical but no water connections at each RV site. Hot showers and bathrooms within walking distance of each site. The shower spigots stay on a loooong time so no need to keep pushing for shower stream. Super friendly ranger who let us pay for our site and firewood on our departure morning as the park office was closed. We were there on a Monday and it was super empty. Heard the weekends are crowded as there are several playgrounds and a pool. No laundry.
Most RV spots are great in terms of spacing. Fire pit. Electrical plug-in. Firewood at Park Office. Grey/black water dump station. Flushing toilets. Hot showers. Dogs allowed on leash. Boasts many trails from the park. Quiet and respectful neighbors. Take the time to hike the upper end of the park. So worth it.
Findley State Park is a huge campground with both RV and tent sites. Paved roads. Shower facilities. Grey and black water dump sites. Laundry ($1.50 for wash or dry). Near a lake, trails. The sites off each camp loop offer the most privacy.
This is a smaller no-host campsite. There are bear lockers, picnic table, and fire pit at each site. I do not know if there are electrical hook ups for RVs. The drinking water comes from an always running spigot and I have never drank anything so refreshing. Several dipping pools are accessible from the campsite. The downside is that a feeder road runs along the site so it can be quite loud, especially during the weekends. If you need firewood, stop at the lodge like gas station that’s less than 5 mins from the turn off the hwy that will take you to camp.
We had hoped to spend the night here but when we got to the site it was or seemed like a flat vacant lot. There was electrical and water at each RV site but absolutely no privacy. The equestrian camp felt like there was a possibility but far from the bathroom. But many trails that start at the site.
It’s a little ways off the highway through the town of Stuart (Home to 1600 good eggs). There is an upper and lower campground and rumor has it that the lower sites can be a little muddy. Electrical at all the RV sites with grey water access and black water dumping station. Views of the water and walking trails from the site. The showers are a bit primitive but plenty of hot water.
This is a smaller, quieter campsite than others. Near hiking trails and water pools. The “honeymoon” suite is a site situated a bit above the rest of the sites. Unfortunately, you can’t reserve. First come, first served. Bear lockers, composting toilets, firewood for sale with camp host.
You have to drive a ways from Elko but so worth it. You can post up right by the water or choose the mountain view. Bathrooms are heated and clean. Showers are heated and it’s own separate “room”. Firewood at every campsite along with electrical hook-up. They also have gray water access and black water dump site. This spot is gorgeous and just so clean! The ranger on duty was so friendly.
Dewey Bridge campsite was full and we drove down the road and lucked into the last empty spot. This spot is amazing. The views alone but the history of the site adds heft. Good spacing between sites. RV and tent camping available. Clean composting toilets. No RV hook ups but who cares when you have this view.
Driving through CO and was hit with a snow storm. We stopped at Brush Memorial RV Campground for the night. Straight forward pay at kiosk. Plenty of space. Electrical hook-up. Heated bathrooms and shower. It’s located past town with nothing much to see and you’re situated next to grain silos. If you need a hearty breakfast try Home Plate in town. I gave it 3 stars as the park literally saved our lives and provided us a safe spot during a snow storm. It’s probably a 1 star without the life and death situation.
Large RV site with electrical and water hook-up at each spot. Office is open Mon-Sat til 8 pm. They sell firewood. You are right on the Mississippi and that ain’t nothing to sneeze at. Tent camping also allowed. You are near the train tracks but the noise is barely discernible.
