Super quiet

Not a very busy park and very quiet. Located along the shores of Lake Winnebago the views are beautiful. There is no beach for swimming but plenty of areas for fishing. The park also has a marina/boat launch. There is a sledding hill that is operable in the winter, otherwise makes for great hiking. Not many extras at the park but its a great quiet campground.

Lots of hiking with spectaular views

High Cliff is a quiet campground on the shores of Lake Winnebago. Located in Sherwood WI there are a few things to check out within the area. There are a couple golf courses, some ice cream shops, and some bars/grills/restaurants. Appleton is only about 20 minutes away with plenty to do as well. The park itself has lots of hiking trails that highlight the cliffs, and the beautiful lake views. There is a small beach for swimming, and plenty of shore to fish from. There is also a marina/boat launch in the park. Lots of open areas for picnics, or outdoor games. Some trails are maintained for horseback riding also. Overall its a great campground that is well maintained and is just beautiful.

Quiet and Relaxed

I decided to try camping on my own here. It's fairly easy to get to… just long drives of nothing but beautiful forests and coastlines. Once I arrived, I had already missed check-in hours but was still able to set up in my reserved site. They still would have allowed you to set up in one of the open sites for the evening and to pay for it in the morning. The campground was small, but not crowded. The sites were spaced far enough apart to not feel like you were camping with your neighbors. There are plenty of hiking trails and things to see. The views here are just breathtaking. Between Lake Superior and the waterfalls there is so much to see. Compared to some parks this one doesn't have many extras. It's mainly hiking and camping. It truly is a gem and I plan on returning many times.
