We camped over New Years and it rained and really only RVs showed up (we crashed at a friend’s house one night and put up our tent the next when it dried out a bit). There was little protection. Location is great to walk along the beach.
Showers worked decently. We were close to the street where starting at first light people are walking dogs and chatting. You can hear the train go by too. We are good sleepers so it was fine for us and the price and location can’t be beat!
We’ve been lucky enough to score one of these cabins twice by checking in every so often to see if someone cancelled a reservation.
wood burning fireplace (you can buy wood on site) keeps the cabin warm. Smoke detectors work too!
We stayed in one of the four cabins. Showers in the campground were hot and free. Beautiful location.
