We rented the tipi campsite and it was super cool! Campground host was very nice and gave us recommendations for hikes. We even saw a dinosaur spine fossil! Makoshika state park is truly a hidden gem.
Colter bay was one of my favorite campsites on our 12 day road trip. The small village offers everything you need including restaurants, convenience store, gas station, marina, and several campsite loops. It was first come first serve when we went in August but we got there at 3pm and still got a site! Will definitely be coming back!
About an hour away from the sequoia national park and a great option for cheap camping! There are several bathrooms, garbage and recycling bins, and a stream with an flat swim/ wading area! (Water is cold but clean for taking a camp shower). Will definitely be staying here again!
We stayed here after visiting Zion National park. The drive to this site was absolutely beautiful. The sunset over the mountains was breath taking. Our site was fully equipped with a fire pit, grill, picnic table and tent pad. The loop had a bathroom and running water. The host was there to help us find our spot and purchase firewood. Very friendly! Great place to stay in Western Utah.
This was a beautiful site with really nice facilities! Clean bathrooms and drinking water. Sites were spread out and felt secluded which was nice. We stayed one night and were able to watch the sunset at delicate arch and then only have a 2 min drive to our campsite. Watch out for large rocks in the driveways..:/
We stayed here for one night as our first stop on our road trip and we were SO impressed! The prairie dogs were right there in the middle of the campground and bison roamed the fields around it. We stayed in our tent and there was plenty of spots even into the evening. Nice hiking trails right off the campsite loop.
