Only if you like city noise...

This park is situated by two main busy roads in Wausau. The sites are surrounded by big pine trees. There's a splash pad for little kids and a little train to go around. Plenty to do around Wausau.

Beautiful Lake and beach area, but there are only a few great sites by the water. Family friendly.

Beautiful clear water and beach area. Nice to kayak. Only a few great sites by the water.

Small quiet lake

Walked around, connected by trail to Crystal Lake. Beautiful area, lots of hiking and biking.

One of our favorite spots

Beautiful clear water, bike paths galore, big sites. Close to Minocqua, cute touristy town. Lots of trails connecting to other lakes.

Gorgeous setting

Beautiful paths for bikes and hiking. Nice sites. We loved ours with direct access to the lake.

Hiking paradise

The hiking trails are great and go all the way out to the Ice Age trails. It goes along the river. Very scenic. Ran into a bear around Xmas time, during a warm winter!

Tent camping is ok, beach area is really small.

Fun for tiny tots, but too small for older kids. If you like hiking, fins a different destination.

Beautiful place

A beautiful, full forest Park with great sites. Lots to do: mountain biking, swimming, hiking. Dog friendly. Nice beach area, Sandy.

Gorgeous, scenic, clean and family friendly

We camped for about 5 days with our family of 6. The first site we made reservations for was awful. It had no trees and was right by the entrance. But before we set up our tents, the host told us who was leaving and that we could take their first come first serve site. That one was shady, private enough, walking distance to the clean showers and bathrooms. It was quiet by 11, not a party camp ground. The walk towards like Michigan was scenic, the beaches were clean. I would go back again and highly recommend it.
