Tent sites are on top of each other. It is not quiet as you’re near to RVs and quiet hours are not fully respected. But the view is very nice, and the bathrooms are clean. It’s near food/grocery and the park. The shuttle picks up in front of Campground.
17 of us stayed. Site is for 20, but there was ample space for all to fit and have private space. The island is amazing! Bathrooms are a short distance away. Do not expect hot showers! Keep all your food and scented items in the racoon proof cages or make sure your coolers/food boxes are locked! Raccoons will pry open just about everything! Raccoons, hogs, and bobcats will make enough noise to keep light sleepers awake all night- but all the kids slept soundly.
We slept in hammocks. It was perfect! Don’t forget your mosquito nets. Water at Seacamp is potable but has a funny taste. Water elsewhere on the island must be boiled.
We stayed in the tent only side. We had two tents (9 x 9 and 10 x 12). We had to move our picnic table because our tents wouldn't fit otherwise. It was private and bathrooms always clean.
Beware, the ticks this year are in abundance…. we even brought one back with us… ugh…
Parking is near sites, but you will have to bring you stuff up a short hill. Depending on which site you get, the hill is .05 to .2 of a mile at most.
