Nice campground

Off the highway quite a ways but nice campground. We stayed one night here in early September. About 7 sites so smaller campground and not real private but we had the whole place to our selves. Right on the Elk River which has some great swimming holes. There is a vault toilet at the campground but no other services. No cell service but no fees for camping. Overall a nice spot right on the river. Nice to hear the water running while camping. Definitely stay in this area again.

One of our favorites

This campground is one of our favorites. We try and get here at least once a year. Campground is built on the side of a mountain so there are some really cool sites. No hookups but lots of sites for smaller trailers. There are also a ton of sites in this campground with a lot that are first come first serve. Restrooms are always pretty clean and staff is super friendly. Not to mention it’s right off the Avenue of the Giants which is an amazing drive.

Nice campground close to the beach

Nice campground that’s within walking distance to the beach. Not a lot of private sites but there are a few. Several sights with hookups for trailers and sites are good sized. We were there in early September and the campground was fairly quiet. No campfires because of fire restrictions then but you can use a portable propane powered fire pit.

Nice Campground

Nice campground with a few fairly private sites. Some highway noise but not terrible. Family friendly campground for sure. Great swimming holes along the Mccloud river loop just turn left coming out of the campground and follow the paved road and signs. However swimming holes can get very crowded during holidays. Side note: beware of the chipmunks they will eat the food right off your plate if left unattended too long.
