Buggy Small Area

The park itself is pretty nice with several trails and a small campground. There is an enclosed stone shelter house you can rent for gatherings.

Tent Hill

This campground has RV sites along the edge with all the tents on a hill by the lake. Every time we go camping here we make a new friend, get some great camping recipes. There is a beach near the camping area and another one for the park. The tent area is nice and big for several tents, but could use a few more trees for shade.

Small, Close Campground

The campground was nice, but it seems more for RVs. Sometimes you have to share a fire pit with other tents if it's busy. They have a small petting zoo and a small beach. This place feels more like a neighborhood verses camping in nature. Most people use this as a "summer home".

Close to River and Lake

We usually camp here Memorial Day weekend. It's a bit cold to go tubing then, but there is a nice beach area when the river is to high, low, etc.

Great Spot Near River and Lake

We camp here about once per year, and love it so much! Great access to river a short drive away for fabulous river tubing and kayaking. The campground has nice bathroom facilities. You have to hold down the lever on the shower, which is a bit of a hassle.

Nice Trails

Although closed for 2018 to make improvements, this is a lovely campground. Several trails. Walk through the shallow creek for a fun time wading. Great for kids.

Small, Nice Campground

This campground is great now that you are able to make reservations online! They have a small "lake" that is great for swimming, fishing, kayaking and canoeing. Rentals for paddle boats, water bikes, kayaks and canoes are available during the summer for a reasonable price. Small fishing boats are allowed on the lake with out gas motors.

The sites vary in size, all of them seem ample. The best sites, in my opinion, are along the lake. There are a few fishing and boat docks to use there.

Hickory Grove has several hiking trails where your are able to see many different animals. Sometimes they have goats out to contain some invasive plant species!
