This is a pretty decent little lake it’s fishing only they do have a small swimming area there is a lot of horse trails which you can also hike and lots of different camp sites around the lake it could use a little more maintenance but all in all it isn’t bad
This is an awesome place the drive is well worth it too as long as you don’t catch fog like we did you couldn’t see 2ft in front of your car it was crazy how bad it was I hadn’t ever seen anything like that before but once we was out it was great
This was a great stop for us we had covered a lot of ground by the time we made it here everyone was pretty tired but when you see devils tower it is so awe inspiring you forget about everything else and the campground was so peaceful great set up they test the water weekly there also so it shows just how well it is maintained!
This was a great camping spot we hiked all of the trails got lost for a little while they are not marked the best but we wasn’t on a time schedule so it was great! Really good views and a very relaxing place.
This is a great campsite we stayed when it was colder and during the week so there wasn’t really anyone else around so it was really nice and right across from the creek we caught a few bass and watch a beaver clean itself the next morning it has a lot of hiking trails all in all it’s a really nice place bathrooms was really clean!
This was a great weekend even though we went when it was pretty chilly but it was a lot of fun watwr is clear and the kids had a lot of fun looking for crystals we found a very secluded part and had it all to ourselves it was nice it’s camp area 2 if it close to this Stevens gap there was an island straight out from us if we would’ve had kayaks it would’ve been fun to go out there! Also woke up to bald eagles flying over just a relaxing place all in all!
This was a spur of the moment trip we done it was a lot of fun we ended up having our tubes with us so we lucked outweigh floater down a few times over and over it was a short go for us but it was a lot of fun water was cold and clear nice and quite camp ground now the bathrooms that’s a different story they wasn’t the best the floors was covered in mayflies and the sinks too that’s no exaggeration at all! But everything else was great! Well worth the stay! And Mickey mantels home town is right next door!
Natural falls was great you are blocked off from the falls themselves to help preserve them but it’s definitely a place worth seeing all the campsites are in really good shape even though it wasn’t fully our style of camping ( we like to be secluded) it was amazing everything was really nice there they had really clean bathrooms and showers one I actually didn’t mind using that never happens! The trails was pretty well maintained we kinda ventured off of a few trails and cut a few of our own, this place is just a great get away we will be back for sure! This is where the red fern grows movie had scenes shot at, we found the tree and you can relate a lot of the scenery to the movie as well! We covered all the trails and then some! You won’t be disappointed I don’t believe with this one!
Pretty crowded the camp spots are pretty close to each other and small there is definitely nicer ones close by. But with that said this is a nice one and is close to veterans lake which is close to the recreation center which is really cool and worth checking out! The friendship bridge is cool and the eternal flame as well it’s definitely a place worth seeing!
We ended up about halfway down on campsite 1 not to many great places to get with an overlanding rig the way they have it set up, but it’s pretty, there is a few trails that lead down to the river you can get a line in if your careful, not really any good swimming holes by where we’re at but it is really pretty so that’s a plus the toilets aren’t terrible we don’t use them but if you had to they aren’t the worst I have seen. There is just a lot of rowdy people here if that’s your thing this is your place, where we ended up isn’t terrible it’s decently quite but more people Than we’re use to but all in all for a free campsite you can’t beat it it’s pretty well maintained and not to dirty.
This lake has came a long ways from how it use to be. It is a pretty good lake now, the front camp grounds are really nice and the others on the north side of the lake are definitely better than the ones on the south side but they are still nice. It is a more natural lake and fees are not terrible. The lank ranger is really nice as well.
This is a pretty nice and quite camp site there is definitely traffic through here more than we’re use to but it’s a really nice spot, it’s all primitive camping, there is vault toilets on site we keep a toilet room with us so I can’t comment on the cleanliness, the guy that collets the trash is an older gentleman and very friendly, the water is clear and decently cool it’s a very relaxing place granted we are here during the week and not the weekend yet but so far only one other person here and without any hook ups I’m sure that will limit others. It is $10 a night which I say is definitely worth the scenery. Cons: there was someone in this campsite before us and left diapers in here and some other trash also found one in the water. We picked up the other trash but I draw the line on toilet paper and diapers.
But all in all it’s pretty clean and well worth the stay.
Nice lake it is a smaller lake but still has some nice RV hookups as well as primitive camping it has toilets and showers they are so so, everything else though is really nice there is a big pavilion and a couple of smaller ones. It is a boating friendly lake jet skis a well. It has a decent little playground and a swimming area, course you can swim around your campsite as well.
