Looking for areas in Northern California region - Sacramento east to Tahoe and north. Trying to find a place to park the tent and have a river for trout fishing somewhat close.
Coloma has some great fishing along the American River. There are outlets hidden around that the white water raft guides in kayaks use to rest. They’re great for relaxing in the shade and tossing out into big water. The thousand trails campground nearby isn’t bad.

If you’re willing to go farther north, you can’t go wrong off of CA 32 north of forest ranch all along the 36/89- but the fires might have changed that this year. There are tons of campgrounds along the hwy and public lands off of well-maintained fire roads.
