North Dakota Summer Trip

Hi, looking for some guidance. We’ve never been to ND, and I see some awesome state parks.

Definitely staying at Sully Creek, then maybe Lake Sakakawea & Grahams Island. Has anybody camped at those, & how long did you stay? I’m thinking at least 3 nights at all those spots. We don’t fish, just like to take in the scenery and swim, golf

Fort Abraham Lincoln is a very nice ND state park. The campground is large with several modern shower/bath houses. Hiking and historical sites. On the upper Missouri River
We stayed 3 nights on our way to Yellowstone and then visit grandkids in Spokane.

Well we ended up staying at Lake Metigoshe, Lake Sakakawea, & Sully Creek. Also camped at the Juniper campground in the north unit of Teddy Roosevelt NP.

Had a blast, North Dakota’s state parks are definitely among the best we’ve visited.

I see that this is a bit late, but I hear that ND is making a new state park in the Pembina Gorge (North West) Icelandic State park is nearby too. Pretty country!
