How do you get car wifi?

me and the hubbie are going on a week long road trip with our trailer. looking to get some car wifi for the trip? any suggestions? and would it just be cheaper to use our phone data?

We just have an unlimited data plan with Verizon. Seems to work fine with a strong LTE signal. We live on the road full-time. There are also public libraries and plenty of coffehouses with wifi, which we greatly miss right now!

I joined FMCA (Family Motor Coach Association) and used their amazing discount to get a Sprint hotspot device for $40 and then $50 a month for truly unlimited data - https://www.fmca.com/index.php?option=com_fmcatechconnectv2&view=home

I have the 55$ plan with Straight Talk and it works really well. It is unlimited.

I think that the trip will be more interesting and romantic, if you forget about internet and the outer world for some days. So, I would suggest you to enjoy your trip at its fullest! Anyway, if talking about your issue, there are many low cost internet options, rather than using your phone data. Usually, when I need internet on the go, I use FreedomPop. It’s completely free, and I’m really pleased with the speed, because I can watch movies easily. Thus, there’s no need to spend a lot of money on internet.
