Im starting my journey mid- April in a Dodge Ram ProMaster City. First time traveling like this. Any tips about weather, where campsites will be open that time of year and recommended campsites along the way, i.e. Pagosa Springs. Mesa Verde.
We will also be traveling west through southern Colorado the third week of April. There could be snow (there was two years ago around Mesa Verde at that time but it didn’t affect our travel) but fingers crossed the weather will be favorable (certainly is not now!) We travel in a Mercedes Metris camper van. We have reservations at a state park in eastern Colorado and at a Harvest Host location in western Colorado but both of these are new to us so I can’t make recommendations. Happy and safe travels!
