id like to avoid the giant touristy family campgrounds. is there anything within a 30 minute drive that’s a little less crowded?
Huntington Beach State Park. South of murrels inlet. We love it.

Just now seeing this, but if you haven’t gone yet, Myrtle Beach State Park is a good spot. Just north of Huntington Beach and has lots of trails as well as direct beach access. Sites can be a little tight but most are wooded and give you some space.
