About

State Park

The park has 18 standard campsites, 41 partial-hookup sites, two yurts, one dump station, two restrooms (ADA) and six showers (ADA). Twenty-six sites are on the waterfront but are unshaded. All hookup sites offer electricity only and are back-in only. Maximum site length is 60 feet (limited availability). The dump station offers fresh water for RV holding tanks. No campfires or portable fire pits permitted in the campground. Charcoal and propane barbecues are permitted. Fires are allowed on the beach. Beach fires need to be more than 100 feet away from vegetation and need to be attended at all times. Make sure the fire is completely out before leaving.

Incredible view

You can’t beat the view of the ocean and the closeness of the waves here. You’re feet from the beach and it’s perfection. Electric sites. No water at site but available at a center potable station and a single dump station.

Beautiful Washington Coast

It was wonderful waking up to the view of the ocean. We were in site 31. There aren’t water hookups so remember to fill up your tanks when you arrive!

On the beach, hook ups, kites

This State park is right on the wide beach in the village of Pacific beach. There are lots of hook ups for electricity to run your heaters in winter. Pacific beach has a coffee shop and tavern for dining and a naval rec center up the hill with a restaurant. Miles of beach combing, kite flying. Popular in season for razor clams, surf perch.

Ocean Views and Stargazing ⭐️🙌

State Park campground with clean token showers and flushing toilets. Electric available but NO WATER HOOKUPS even though listed for 1 of our 2 sites. Access to water and dump station at campground. Sites are very close together with no privacy BUT the Pacific Ocean being literally right there makes up for it! There are a few 1 night, non-reservable sites right next to the dunes with unobstructed ocean views.

I will be back and will recommend to friends 👍

Sweet beach spot

WA state park right on a beautiful beach. No trees so you’re pretty close to fellow campers. But the beach and river are gorgeous. Starry skies.

Excellent beach access

This campground is perfect for folks who basically want to camp on the beach front. The sites are rather narrow, but most people aren’t spending time at the camper/tent anyway- they are on the beach! Very grateful for the park wifi as t-mobile had zero signal of any kind.

Can’t get any more on the beach than this!

We’ve been coming to pacific beach for years but this was our first time camping. It was nice to be right in the ocean. The wind is a constant and no water hookups but water available. No trees as it’s right on the ocean. We love the town of pacific beach.

One Campsite Row off the Beach

We had a tent site that was a couple of sites off the beach. The campground has nice flat sites, good tables, hot showers, and great access to the beach. We have stayed here a couple of times for getting fresh air ( smoke escape ) and for great Razor Clam hunting..

Oh and possible Green Flash with colorful sunsets

Must be nicer in the summer

Unfortunately we are here in November with pouring rain and 35 mile per hour winds. Fishing is supposed to be good in this area but the rivers are all blown out due to the rain.

This is a pleasant enough state park with rv sites right on the ocean. Sites are relatively close together with no vegetation. The draw is the fact that you can walk to the beach. And if the rain let’s up enough, my dogs may actually get to explore the beach.

Rv sites are electric only but there is a dump and access to water. Other reviews say the restrooms and showers are clean. I can’t attest to that because they are closed due to COVID.

Wifi is free and there is good cell service here. If you are a tv addict like my husband, the sites are wide open for receiving satellite signals.

Amazing Beach! Basic Campground. Great stopping point before ONP

We had a reservation to stay here, which was strategic to get us close to Olympic National Park, which is mostly first come first serve. We were pleasantly surprised that this campground was overlooking an awesome stretch of beach. Very basic campsites, geared more for RV camping ...nothing too special which is the reason for 4 stars, instead of 5. We would stay here again.

Simplicity at the beach

There isn't a lot of privacy between slots but this campground offers RV, tent and yurts. Electrical HU only but dump site available. It's right off the beach with a little shop in walking distance. There's also a motel with an accessible laundry room nearby. There is a huge expanse of beach to play on when the tide is out. Most campers leave dogs off leash on the beach. Tons of kites flying through the summer days, it's beautiful. Campfires on the beach allowed. Camp hosts are great and facilities upkeep is well managed. Two shower tokens per dollar, each token = 3 minutes. Summer books up quickly, need to secure 9 months in advance. Cell service is very spotty and campground WiFi is as well.

Reserve months in advance

There are not many sites to the campground, so reserve several months in advance to get a good spot. Beach is essentially a private beach. Most let their dogs off leash to go play, as during peak season driving on the beach there is prohibited. For a cozy campground, most campers are friendly and respectful of others. When the weather is nice and wind is blowing, the campground comes alive with kites, windsocks and other wind related decorations being flown from most campsites. It’s quite the experience.

Campsite 59

Right on the ocean at Pacific Beach, this campground is small, but so close to the water. The sand is wonderful & the views are magnificent! No sewer or water hookups & no campfires except on the beach. Totally worth the visit!

yes but no

on the one hand- beach! on the other hand- pretty barren camp offerings. kind of just a parking lot on the bluff. The beach is… beachy- not as amazing as some in the vicinity. Still a nice accessible way to wake up at the coast. They say this is an amazing place to go clamming, but we haven't tried it yet. We fried up some fish (another perk of living outdoors= no fishy kitchen).

Beautiful any time of the year!

We stay here in the winter often. The campground is clean quiet and right next to the beach. If you love the sound of the waves you will sleep well here! Our dogs love to run up and down the beaches!

Surf n camp

This is a fairly large site with some yurt and walk in campsite options, besides the normal type of spots. This campsite gives you open access to the beach. Though there are many better and more remote coastal campsites, don't pass this one up if your looking for simplicity.

A Slice Of Heaven

Our Trip down the coast ended at Pacific Beach Washington, camp or rent a cottage and walk off deck to your own private ocean front spot!! Beautiful sunsets, though the coast can be cold certain times of the year I love the Pacific Ocean!!

Our Oceanfront Property!

One of our faves. Doesn't matter what the weather if you are in an rv, you are right on the Pacific Ocean! Front row view. No water hookups or campfires in sites, but you can have a campfire on the beach nice tiny town to walk up the hill to shop or get coffee. Campsites here are not private, but very close together with no bushes or trees. Wouldn't have dreamed of camping here with little kids and a tent, but since getting an RV, this is our favorite spot.
