Peaceful and Relaxing

I car camped here based on another person's review. To add to her's I did not use a free shower unless you are able to get the code for the bathrooms at the campground from another camper then you can take a free shower. This facility offers RV camping, tps, and I'm open field for tent camping. The facility itself offers a hot soaking pool at 120 degrees that is fed from the hot springs, and a pool that is about 75°. They have restrooms, showers, and private bath houses that you can rent. There are a few snacks and locally made items inside the office. I do have drinking water and free bathroom use around the back side of the building. For car camping there is no shade just a gravel parking lot. There's also an older mobile home park in this area that is separated by a fence from the main facility which is where I can't. I felt safe I did however go stealth camping out of habit.
There are walking trails around the property including a gigantic garden of veggies and flowers. I did pay $15 for a half day use, 9:30 to 4:30, of the hot soaking & regular pools. You are allowed to bring food and drink in just no glass.
Ashland Oregon is known for Shakespeare festival, it is a liberal artsy free love type of town

Amazing water and comfortable site

This is not a glamorous camping experience. That said, the hot springs are wonderful and the campground is comfortable and convenient.

AMAZING SPA

I’m camping here in my car basically in a gravel parking lot next to a meadow for tent campers. There’s very little privacy however! The amenities and addition opportunities make up for it. There are free showers, a bathroom with running water, potable water, and for $10 extra you get 1.5 hours soaking in a mineral pool, one hot one cold, and there’s also a sauna. In addition the showers inside the spa are much nicer!! I feel completely rejuvenated, and definitely recommend for anyone looking to have a relaxing evening :)

This wellsprings is clean, relaxing, and worth it. Without going too far out of the valley, Jackson wellsprings is a good place to let things melt away.

No dogs allowed in domes or bell tent

Plan to keep your pets at home if you want to stay in the domes or bell tent. As another reviewer noted, the grounds have seen better days. I guess that's how they keep camping prices so low. 3 stars because of the hot springs---better as a day trip and not a place to stay

Nice Pools, Skip the camping

The pools are nice to soak and the general vibe is good. The campground is old and worn down which I don't mind much, but it is junky feeling. There are many long term residents with lots of junk in their spaces. Some are decked out with a creative spirit other are just garbage. The playground has lots of old degrading riding toys and tent camping is basically a field. We had an RV site with partial hookups and it was barely maintained. We ended up leaving a day early.

Quirky Camping 🏕

This is a great place to stop as you’re going through Ashland. The field for tents is pretty large so you can set up on flat ground and have your own space. The hot springs are great for relaxing and pretty expensive ($7). As we were leaving I notice an electric outlet for the tenters which would have been helpful if I’d noticed it the night before 😬

Great Staycation!

I couldn’t go out of town one July, so instead I booked 2 nights @ Jackson Wellsprings in Ashland, OR.

Packed all my gear, and a couple of lobsters and wine and had an amazing stay.

I got to soak in the mineral pools and enjoy the saunas.

They have a little gifts shop at the reservation counter, and also an array of healthy snacks and hot coffee and Chai (yay!)

When I was there they had delicious homemade Indian food in their cafeteria (yumm)

If you soak before 9 pm, guests are required to wear clothing.

Very sweet and serene little spot to camp and soak- and only $25 night!

Can’t wait until they reopen after pandemic...

Unique

This is a beautiful campground that is great for renting and grabbing a great spot near Ashland as your driving through. Who doesn’t want to stop at a hot spring? Jump in and cool off or just spend the night as you’re passing through. Very interesting place to stay and clothing is optional at the springs. The area we pitched our tent was open with outlets nearby if you needed them. This was a perfect spot to stop on our way north.

Amenities but gritty

We like to pick campgrounds that have extra amenities, like hot tubs or saunas. This one has both. The spa area is a nice add on to your stay. The facilities are old and therefore feel gritty. Which is the feeling that matches the campground. To get to the RV parking you have to drive/walk by the tent campers, which even off season, felt like those staying there permanently live in their tents and cars. Behind the RV parking is the area where full time residents live, which is also a bit rough. We didn’t feel unsafe, but we definitely didn’t feel like hanging out outside our RV or letting the kids play on the playground. If you go, don’t expect a resort. Think transient hippies and you’ll have your expectations aligned closer to reality.

Awesome place!

This is a great place to stay that has all you could need! Cell reception, WiFi, pool, hot tub, Ashland is like 5 minutes away, restrooms, even a sauna! Clothing is optional in the pool area let at night so be aware if you’re not into that or have kids. tent sites aren’t separated meaning you pitch your tent in an area where everyone else does. Other than that, I Highly recommend!

Beautiful area and reasonably priced

The hot springs are a fun and relaxing place and the prices for campground are very reasonable. I liked how the campgrounds weren’t in the middle of town and the surrounding area is quite pretty. Downside is a lot of transients frequent the area which takes from the natural beauty. Some beautiful hiking trails nearby in Talent and outside of Ashland.

Hippy Paradise

The camping area is a couple of “meadows” or grassy backyard and you pick a spot to place your tent. The camping fee includes 1 person in the “spring”. If there are 2 people they charge $25/tent and the 2nd person is an additional $15 and dogs are $5. A bit steep for camping in a meadow without a designated area. There were several picnic tables and I was lucky to get one. I don’t know that I’d feel comfortable camping here alone. The “spring” is a pool and a jacuzzi type set up. It’s ok but I prefer the hot springs that are a bit more natural. Also, after 6pm clothing is optional. The drinking water and shower water smell like sulfur which is a bit nauseating. The big plus is that Ashland is 2 miles down the road. There are quite a few long term people and it’s not very organized so it feels a bit dirty. My friend that I was with said he felt like he was sleeping in a junkyard.

A place I always love to stop when traveling to our property in Southern Oregon! When you camp here for $25 a night, you are granted access to the Hot Spring and mineral pool. I love relaxing here, it is very peaceful and a great environment. There are showers and on-site laundry. This place sometimes can be busy, so don’t expect to have the place to yourself. There have been times when camping here, the Hot Springs are packed. Overall, I truly love this place and the space they have created. The town of Asheville is not that far from here—a must visit town!

one of my favorites

relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced for car and tent camping, plus camping fees include access to the rejuvenating sulphur-rich hot spring pool, swimming pool and sauna. this is right in the Ashland/Medford metro area so is very convenient for travel days when you have things to do in town. also hosts interesting events like yoga classes and live music!
