Open year-round, the Davis Creek Campground has 62 overnight campsites available. Although there are no hook-ups, longer travel trailers (32 foot max) can be accommodated at 19 sites (sites 21 - 39). Hot showers are also available year round (bring quarters). Online Revervations are now available for individual sites 2 through 30 and sites 35 through 60.

Beautiful but tight for trailers

We didn’t reserve a spot (15 days in advance), but we were lucky enough to find an “RV” spot for our small camper. The spot wasn’t a “pull through”, and it was very difficult to park our trailer. Fortunately there’s free parking at the front of the campground for additional parking (our vehicle that towed the trailer).

To stay at a site, it’s $30 a night, no hookups, flushable public toilets, coin showers, fire rings, water spickets, and the sites are decently spaced apart.

Nice campground

We stayed here in February so there is tons of snow on the ground, clean bathrooms, nice showers, friendly park Ranger, most of the hookup sites are under all the snow though. Beautiful area

Nice place and quiet

It was very quiet clean with amenities like shower or complete bathroom. Bear boxes at each camp site. In tree line so cool for comfort and plenty of trails to hike that are very clean and nice.

Beautiful and quiet campground

Beautiful and quiet campground right off of I-580 nestled in the trees. Only downside is almost all of the campsites are un-level, many extremely so. Bring plenty of blocks.

Year round camping and great trails!

Davis creek is super easy to access, good amenities year round with some beautiful sites in the woods just below slide mountain. There are also several great trails that connect to the National Forest which you can access from the campground.

Quiet and peaceful

The best part of this campground right off the 580 between Reno and Carson City was the sites were well spaced under the mature pines. So quiet and peaceful. The site pad I was in #62 was at a slight angle but #lil_cricket did well.

Right off 395

This campground is about a half mile off highway 395 at the base of Slide Mountain and with Washoe Lake just to the east. Very shady as it sits in a grove of tall mature pines. Hiking and fishing are close as is the historic Bowers Mansion.

Great community campground

This is one of those campgrounds that attracts both adventurous hikers eager to clamber up Slide Mountain as well as local families and community leaders. It’s a great stop over on a trip through the eastern Sierra.

Ok - Pretty great spot. Breezed in, set up on the tent only loop, and enjoyed the rest of the night. Twenty five buckeroo seems to be the going rate and I've certainly spent more on less.

Flushie toilets, bear lockers, easy access to Reno/Tahoe.

Freeway noise noticeable, but not objectionable if you're a city baby like me.

Excellent and Never Crowded

Great campground, lots of spots for both tent and RV. Easy access right off the freeway but tucked into trees so you don't hear any road noise. Nice hiking trails, clean restrooms and very nice staff. Well maintained! I camp here one week a month while I work in Tahoe and it's open year around. First come first serve!

Great location!

The fees are pretty based on the honor system. $20 a night., $5 for an extra vehicle and 7 people max per site. There is both tent and trailer camping. They have bathrooms and showers.

This is one of my fav hiking locations in Nevada! I love the variety. There are different levels of hikes from easy to more difficult. There are lots of trees with excellent shade and you can't beat the views of Washoe Valley when you get to the top.

Good for a couple of days

Since this campground is on an incline, one is protected from the Washoe Valley winds. The campsites are well marked and have a parking space. Only one car is allowed per space, so if a group is going to take multiple campsites, only one car per parking pad, the rest have to park down by the main entrance. Many hiking trails here. The pond still has not recovered from the drought. The bathrooms have flush toilets. There are two group campgrounds, one walk-in tent only and a RV only. One downside, now that the new I-580 has been built, there is some freeway noise at night.
