Clean quaint

Nice place, used to be a KOA, and they still take care of it like one. Everything in the campground is within walking distance. They have a dishwashing sink and garbage cans every 30-50 feet. Convenient. Bathrooms and showers are super clean. Recommend for sure.

Great Place

This is a private owned campground not a KOA. Stayed there last fall. Owners are doing a lot of upgrades. Restroom/Shower rooms where spotless!!! If in the area a must stay for a night or a week!

It's now called nature's way campground, it's quite nice,they have several cabins,tent sites, and nice pull thru rv sites.

Great smaller campground

The front of this park is the typical KOA. Trailer spots, pool, general store. Showers and bathroom are VERY clean and the staff is on top of things. There’s even a small creek that runs through the property giving it more appeal.

This place really shines in the primitive spots in the back of the campground. It’s adjacent a large field so you do get some wind and the occasional sound of farm equipment…but there’s a lot of nice spots. Good trees, some nice shaded sites and some really good locations for privacy. Great site spacing.

We were only staying one night as we passed though town. Very clean and polite staff. Had a nice site close to bath house which was spotless!

Tight Squeeze!

Stayed here in early June during a trip to Starved Rock, which is a quick 10-15 minute drive. Camp hosts are very nice and the the grounds well maintained. I stayed on site 5 which is a full hookup but best for a small camper. I have a 14 foot travel trailer and it just fit with my SUV in front. The spots are very tight and you have very little room between you and your neighbor. With all the rain this year, many sites flooded during a storm while we camped and they had to be moved to other areas that were not actual sites so it was a bit crazy...hosts did a great job taking care of everyone effected. Campground has a cute dog park and a beautiful stream that runs through it. I would stay here again!!

Just what we needed after a day on the road

Beautiful spot for our single overnight. Staff were great; friendly and helpful. Park was well kept, with lots of green around RV and tent sites. Nice pool, dog park, store, and even a stream system that wanders through the park (no swimming in the stream). Also close to Starved Rock State Park for some neat scenery and hiking. The only downside side is that some of the RV sites are a little close together - didn’t impact our stay though. Two thumbs up! :)

Convenient and reliable KOA

You can't go wrong with KOA. Great one night stopover. Sites very close together; no privacy, but no surprises, either.

Good Hiking nearby

This campground is fun because it is the only one in the area with a pool. A creek runs through it so you have to check for flooding. Close to all the state parks.

Great Location

This is one of the first campsites my family began using. Heaven for tenters as you can be in the larger groups or some very secluded areas as well. RV/Trailers are a little tight on space but we tend to be away from the site when we are there. There are a couple really fantastic State Parks in the area and we tend to spend most of our time on the trails. Bathrooms are consistent with what you expect from a KOA, with a nice store and nice employees.

Great campground close to starved rock state park.

Nice little campground. If you want full hook up you will need to be on the top loop of the campground. The lower loop has a cream running through it. Depending on ran this can cause flooding. I have never been here when it is busy but I can imagine it can get crowded. The showers are clean and updated and the store is stocked with basic supplies.
