Fishing Bridge RV Park—elevation 7,800 feet (2377 m)—is located near the Yellowstone River where it exits Yellowstone Lake on its way toward the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Only campground in Yellowstone to offer water, sewer, and electrical hookups. Because grizzly bears frequent the area, no tents or tent campers are allowed.

Yellowstone National Park Lodges provides reservations for this campground.

Stayed here August 4-8 2023

We stayed in loop C, all the loops other than E are tight and very close together. It rained each day and there was a puddle in our site most of the time. The place was clean and bathrooms very clean. If you can get a site in loop E they are concrete pads including under picnic tables. There were no picnic tables on loop C.

Very convenient for seeing the Park, quite at night. Loop C did have trees, where loop E does not have many trees.

New Rv park In Yellowstone

It’s a full hookup hardside only rv campground. Bring your own water flow regulator and screw in type sewer connector unless you want to buy one at the gift shop. Clean and quiet, plenty of bear proof garbage cans and you get one hot shower in the main office for every two day stay. Heavenly warm clean showers.

RV park has electrical issues

We stayed in the newly renovated E loop. It is a giant clear cut area with no view of anything in the park. The wind blew strongly from the south each evening making it unpleasant to be outside. When the wind did not blow the mosquitoes came out in force. Most worrisome was the sub-par electrical infrastructure. Voltage sagged below 110 volts with several outages. We ended up running on battery and charging it back up at night when the power was more stable.

Good Base Camp For Exploring Yellowstone

No wood fires allowed

We stayed in loop E for 3 nights while exploring Yellowstone. The campground was very nice and I would say worth $100 a night. It was a good place to leave from each morning to see the sites, we typically would beat the crowds coming from the gates by about an hour to our first destination of the day. As of June '23 loop E is mostly pull through sites for larger rigs. The other two loops are a little tighter but have more tree cover.

Quiet but crowded

Newly renovated clean well appointed park. For being right in the middle of Yellowstone the location was perfect. Sites are crowded in very tightly but full hookups made them nice.

Brand new full service RV park in Yellowstone National Park

We stayed for a week in this brand new RV park. Full hook ups. The park has everything you need though, at this point, it is rather bare. Sites are close together. In Spring the space between sites isn’t useable due to mud and snow. There is a very nice laundry and shower facility. The park is centrally located in Yellowstone so it is easy to get from place to place.

Nice Park but electric issues

We stayed in older loop of park. We had numerous nights that our voltage protection shut our power down due to low voltage. We were getting voltage as low as 104(ems shuts down at 104 volts to protect rv). Other than electric we enjoyed stay

Crowded but a good option

Great campsite in terms of access to shower / store/ cell service etc . A nice place to plan your route home at the end of the in the park stay. The sites are about 10 feet from each other , certainly packed in tightly and lacking views but good for the night

Close Quarters, but...

The older section of this campground is very tight. The newer section has a lot of room between spaces, but not much vegetation. Upper (new section) sites are all level with picnic tables...not so in the older section.. But you are in the heart of Yellowstone, are you really going to spend a lot of time in you rig?

Only full hookups in Yellowstone

I camp at Yellowstone quite a bit, but never had been here. It was nice to have full hookups for once, but they really cram RVs in there—particularly in the lower loop. The upper loop was just remodeled, but it is almost completely exposed and I would t want to stay there.

Adequate

This campground has FHU and new rv sites are adequately sized. My complaint is that the site has little else to offer in terms of National park views. It is near Yellowstone lake but you cannot see it nor access it from the rv park. The park is within lodgepole pine forest with no trails to walk. Very few trees were retained within the new se toon of rv park. It is just a lot of concrete and pavement. Sites are level though!! Expensive at $90/night.

Good campsite for larger RVs

We stayed in the new E section of the park. It was a massive area that was clear cut with no shade. All the sites were pull through, level and concrete with 50/30/20 amp electrical, water and sewer. They also offered nice laundry facilities and paid showers, we received a punch card for two shower a day for the duration of our stay.

This is a good location to explore Yellowstone from. The general store is up the road along with fuel and RV repair shop.

Redone national park campground, clean, and surrounded by trees.

This place is really nice. Close to the mud volcanos, but on the other side of the park as Old Faithful, so anticipate driving. The lake is close by with excellent fishing. Nicely paved roads, great for biking and an evening outside. Always worth the extra cost to stay INSIDE the national park!

Good place to stay in the park

This is a good place to stay inside the park. It is the only option for full hookups. Be aware that it is quite a drive to other areas of the park, depending on what you are there for. We were in the older part, which we preferred. It has gravel pads, but has easy hookups. While the spots are close together, a lot of them have trees between so it doesn’t feel like you are right on top of one another be aware that there are no picnic tables. There were a lot of mosquitoes, so we ended up eating inside. The newly renovated area has cement pads and picnic tables, but no trees at all. It’s very open. We didn’t use the showers or other facilities, but overall it was a clean, well run campground and a great option for staying inside the park.

The fishing bridge area is closed for the 2021 season

This area has been under construction and was closed in 2020. As a Yellowstone local, we know that it’s also closed in 2021. Just trying to help out other campers for planning.

Best time with the Grandchildren !

We spent 7 days at this park! That was 2 years ago and the grandchildren still talk about that trip! Fishing Bridge is the perfect location to stay with full hookup’s, showers, laundry and store with the best cafe and ice cream!

Best campground in Yellowstone

My favorite campground in YNP. Close to my personal favorite places in the park. Full hookups. Clean bathrooms/showers. Need to have a hard sided camper since this campground is in grizzly territory (makes it more exciting).

Excellent location and RV hookups

One must plan in advance for a reservation at Fishing Bridge RV Park in Yellowstone National Park. Full hookups available on paved sites.

walking distance to the store and NPS Visitor Center- but bring your bear spray as there are many right around.

this campground may be closed for reconstruction during 2019, but call to know for sure. We stay every June we can for Yellowstone Lake fishing and requisite sight seeing.

Great location

Location was great. Not a lot of space but good enough to get our rv in and the keep on the side. They recommend a water regulator, we used one but with it the pressure was low. Nice laundry room. Machines worked well. They gave us 2 free showers a night and they looked clean but we ended up just showering at the rv.

Very tight parking spots!

The TV parking is very tight. You will need a water pressure regulator. The sewer hose is raised. Coin laundry and the showers close at 10pm.

Civilization!

This is the ONLY campground in Yellowstone with full hookups, your neighbors are a bit close, but the campground is spread out in old growth pines and doesn't feel crowded at all. There is a large store, gas station, mechanic and cafe close by. If you are on an extended trip in an RV, you'll definitely want to spend at least a few nights here, so you can rest and recuperate.

Great location, full hookup, small spaces.

Full hookup campground in the heart of Yellowstone. This is a large, busy campground with oddly shaped spots where you park beside your trailer. Big rigs may find it a tight fit but our small trailer was fine. Nearby store is well stocked and gas was available as well. Lake Lodge and Lake Hotel are nearby and offer lots of food choices. Showers were adequate but busy and expect to wait during peak season. No wifi or cell service. If you are looking for scenery you won't find it here, but it's a great base for your Yellowstone explorations due to the central location.

NOTE: Only hard-sided units are allowed here due to bears frequenting the campground.

Good Location

I was able to book this campground for the same day online. I know it was just luck that they had a site open, but it is one of the campgrounds that takes reservations inside the park. The campsites themselves are a bit too close for my liking. I prefer a little space, maybe some trees between sites, but these were just stacked side by side, back to back. The shower/laundry/office area was nice. It is convenient to all the other amenities at Fishing Bridge including restaurant, gift shop, gas. I wanted this location due to the grizzly sightings at nearby Yellowstone Lake. It was the closest campground to that area.

Full RV Hookups

No soft-sided popup or hybrids allowed. This is basically a parking lot with full hookups. If you are not wanting to stay at the camper and explore the park, this is the one for you. It was perfect for our trip.

Large Campground

This place has the most campsites of any campground in any National Park the US has to offer! Definitely helps when you are trying to get a reservation in peak season. Each campsite offers a fire pit, picnic table, and bear box. One thing to note was that our fire pit was completely submerged making flooding very easy. There was also no discernible tent pad but that made no difference because we had nice soft dirt that was quite level. The site was also pretty spacey so there was plenty of room for multiple tents or other gear. The campground is located a short walk from Yellowstone Lake which offers some great views and there are many great areas nearby. Overall, this was a fun campsite that offers quite a bit.

Loud, busy, and packed-in at Yellowstone!

Bridge Bay is a campground located in the southeast part of Yellowstone National Park. The location is fantastic for those wanting to access Yellowstone Lake or all of the thermal features in the southern half of the park. The campground is one of the largest, boasting 432 sites in 8 loops. For the best views of Yellowstone Lake, request the E, F, or G Loop! Avoid Loops A and B, as there is very little shade - basically camping in an open field.

We pulled at 17' RV trailer with our Durango, and we barely fit into the back-in site they assigned to us. The sites themselves are pretty nice and level, but extremely close together, even in the more wooded loops (we were in Loop H). Bear boxes are shared between sites. When we arrived, our neighbors in a tent had taken over the entire bear box. We didn't completely mind, as we had an RV, but we have a very large cooler that would have been nice to store instead of transferring back and forth between camper and car twice a day.

Check-in was very slow with long lines. We arrived around 3 pm and had to wait over twenty minutes in line to check in for our reserved site. This is one campground in Yellowstone that you can reserve in advance (and you should do so by the end of March for that summer season). Flush toilets and a dump station are a bonus for this campground. Generators are allowed as well, from 8 am to 8 pm. We found that campers in this campground tended to stay up and out of their tents well past the 10 pm quiet hours began, and most were still sleeping when we got up to go spot wildlife at 6 or 7 am.

All campsites have a fire pit with a cooking grate and a picnic table. We did see and hear some wildlife from our site, mostly birds, including a grouse that walked right through our site (see video). Deer, elk, and bison are also around.

Although the accommodations were ample, the crowding, noise, and slow check-in process (compared to three other campgrounds in Yellowstone) brought down our overall rating.
