About
State Park
Welcome to Torreya State Park Campground, nestled in the quiet and scenic area near Bristol, FL. This spot is a gem for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle. With a small campground of just 29 sites, it offers a peaceful retreat with plenty of natural beauty to soak in.
One of the standout features here is the cleanliness. Visitors rave about the spotless bathrooms and showers—some even say they’re cleaner than their own homes! The campground also has a sanitary dump station, electric hookups, and water hookups at each site, making it a convenient choice for both tent and RV campers.
If you’re into hiking, you’re in for a treat. The park boasts several trails, some of which are accessible right from the campground. The trails can be a bit rugged, but they offer a fantastic way to explore Florida’s natural beauty. The Gregory House, an 1850s plantation home, is within walking distance and offers guided tours for history buffs.
For those who enjoy a bit of stargazing, the remote location of the park means you’ll have some incredible night skies. Bring your binoculars and enjoy the show. Morning bird songs are another highlight, creating a serene start to your day.
Pets are welcome, so feel free to bring your furry friends along. Just be mindful of the local wildlife, including the occasional copperhead snake. And if you’re lucky, you might even spot a panther or an indigo snake during your stay.
