Overnight stay

Good for an overnight stay. Full hook up, clean facilities and friendly people. You have to navigate a busy intersection or a narrow road to get there. Not to bad though.

Great place!

We called at the last minute and was able to ve accommodated. It has been an easy stay with very friendly staff. Plenty of sites!

Close to Interstate

Friendly people, grassy site, full hookups, quiet environment, no tables nor grills. Extremely limited Verizon service, could make calls but not much connection other than that. Stayed two nights for easy drive into Smoky Mountains—better than all the congestion south of here.

Very green

It an rv campground no tent per the wed site. Clean and quiet. Made reservations on phone, she was nice and gave directions very busy intersection of traffic to get in here.

Farm Parking

We planned an overnight stop at Dumplin as it was close to the interstate. It is very nice! Sites were part gravel and easy to pull through. We were in a pull through with full hook ups. The area is so nice and if you were looking for things to do, it’s close to Pigeon Forge and not terribly far from Gatlinburg. Very nice people called to setup and walked me through website!

Great stopping place!

We did an overnight stop at Dumplin as it was close to the interstate. It was very nice! Sites were part gravel and grassy. We were in a pull through with full hook ups. The area is so nice and if you were looking for things to do, it’s close to Pigeon Forge and not terribly far from Gatlinburg. Without the hustle and bustle. No frills camping as it doesn’t have a pool or playground, or putt putt. But quite and relaxing atmosphere is what we enjoy, and what we got. Will definitely return here!

Lovely setting

We were expecting many people over the 4th of July holiday but were pleasantly surprised to have only a few other guests. Very soft green grass over the entire RV park. Plenty of room for pets to walk on lead. Quiet with no road noise, we will stay again in the area.

Great little spot

We were just passing through and it was the perfect spot to stay the night. We called that afternoon and they had a site for us, the gentleman who welcomed us was so kind and friendly. It’s just off the highway, close to gas and coffee, yet it felt like we were way out in the middle of nowhere. Very picturesque. Would love to come back for their bluegrass festival.

The RV park itself is awesome!

This park was awesome, beautiful views, rolling green grass, full hook up and partial hook ups for a decent fare. There is a lot to do nearby, it’s easy to get to the park and they have good cellular connection.

This park has 1 issue. Communication.

There are 3 reasons/experiences we will never return. There is a couple who camphost (fulltime RVers), and another couple who are the owners who live in a house on property. Pretty standard setup. Generally speaking- if you obtain permission for something from the camp host, you can reasonably expect that you have obtained the proper permission.

Arriving Early. Again- working, we called to ask permission to show up at 12:00pm instead of 2pm, communicated: if we could, we would like to not miss a full day of work moving the rig. Female who answered their only phone, said no problem, come on in, your site is open. Fantastic! We show up and the female owner of the park (we didn’t know who we talked to we just called their phone line)- was mad as hell that we were there early. We explained the screw up and apologized because it was a legitimate mistake. We thought that’s the end of it. Moving on.
We were there for 17 days, and needed to get a couple of boxes, one being our ballots to vote, one small package, and one medium size package. We again called the phone number, a female answered, gave us permission and told us the address. The first two arrive without issue. The third was apparently a problem with the female owner once again, even though the previous two packages- she never indicated there was a problem.
Booking- we originally booked 7 or so days and had to book more because of rain. We moved sites as they requested. Again - spoke to a female on the phone, no problem, y’all can stay until the 24th, this time she said “I wrote myself a note to tell the owner”. Cool, as a guest my work is done, all set. On the 23rd the female owner of the park came and beat on the door. My husband was at work. She was very angry, I was very confused. She asked when we were leaving and why we haven’t left, still confused I replied we paid until the 24th which is tomorrow and we will be leaving early in the morning. This made things epically more hostile. She said I was inconveniencing her other patrons because they expected full hook ups. I didn’t know what my husband had done or who he spoken to, all I knew was that we were leaving on the 24th. So I offered to call him and get to the bottom of it. I had him call her to simplify things. She screamed at him on the phone which goes through his hearing aids. He asked her to speak more quietly so he could understand her. Apparently she has the camp host approve things or doesn’t communicate with the camphost well. Each of these 3 things had sent her over the edge. She wouldn’t calm down so he hung up, so she called back and left a scathing voicemail about how rude he is...

We will never return, the last thing we need right now when everything is chaos for 2020- is to deal with that.

If I could give more stars I would.

This place was exceptional, from the time we came in for the first night, the exceptionally great rate per night, to the amazing owners this campground has been the best place we have ever stayed. Joe and Mitzi make you feel at home. We also made some great friends, will be returning next year for the bluegrass festival. Also love the quiet kicked back vibe that this place offers.

Relax in this laid back and friendly atmosphere.

As the owner of this rv park, I will not be tooting my own horn but will instead give you a little info that can be followed up by visiting our website or facebook page. Our little park was started to accommodate our bluegrass patrons and then we opened our doors to the public during the rest of the year. Most of our travelers find us by word of mouth or through mobile apps such as thedyrt.com. We offer a different kind of camping experience here. We are very laid back in our approach to camping as you will notice first thing upon arrival when you will probably find the office unoccupied. If that is the case, you can utilize self-registration and chose your own campsite. On the days that we have reservations, they will be posted on a board in front of our office. If we are able to greet you when you arrive, we will happily do so as we live just a few yards from the camping area and office. If you are looking for bells & whistles, you might want to keep traveling as we do not offer many of those. We have picnic tables & chairs in our pavilion but not on individual sites. We do offer a unique setting with lovely views along with peace & quiet (most of the time). We have restrooms with showers for your convenience. Currently, we do not allow tent camping except during festivals and special events. Our sites are large with a gravel base through which we have allowed the grass to grow. We can be flexible with parking situations for those of you traveling with larger rigs pulling trailers, etc. Our location is just over 20 miles from Knoxville's acclaimed Urban Wilderness to the west and just under that amount to Pigeon Forge to our south. We are 10 minutes from Douglas Lake, 30 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and a short drive to Sevierville. There are restaurants and gas stations 1 1/2 miles from us at exit 407 on I-40. Check out our website for more info. Thank you.
