Spacious RV and Tent campground located in the shadow of the Castle Rock State Park and near the entrance to the City of Rocks National Reserve. Featuring RV camping with power and water hook-up, picnic tables and fire rings. Dry Camping and tents sites with picnic tables and fire rings. On site restroom. Beautiful view and lots of space, town within walking distance.

Beautiful, no Wi-Fi

Beautiful scenery. We booked through Roverpass #65 and couldn’t find it. The visitor center is a couple miles from the entrance. The visitor center itself has wi-fi, but rest of the area doesn’t. Screenshot the map of the camp ground, which is very spread out. Not every cluster has a bathroom, so bring your own t.p. It’s a stunning area but it wasn’t what we expected - no maps, no Wi-Fi, no bathroom.

Excellent location & views

New park with nice open spaces w mostly level gravel parking. New trees that will provide shade in the future. Water and power sites available as well as dry and tent sites Free wifi which was good because there was no Verizon cell service. Also available at the ranger station. Walking distance to the ranger station and town. Close to the entrance of the City of Rocks. Onsite informal manager and owner both stopped by to ensure we did not need anything. A great experience.

Beautiful View, Spacious sites

Great place to stay very spacious sites and the view of Castle Rocks State Park are amazing. Within walking distance to town and to the entrance to The City of Rocks National Park.

Town includes a Steak house, a grocery store, hot springs, pizza and the City of Rocks headquarters.

Hosts are very accommodating.
