Kids and parents alike will enjoy fishing and hiking around Lost Lake, Dollar Lake and Lost Lake Slough. Beckwith Pass provides breathtaking vistas of the Ruby Mountain Range. In Paonia, CO, at intersection of State Rts. 133 and 187, take Rt. 133 east 14.9 miles to a Crested Butte sign (County Rd. 12). Turn right at sign onto Rt. 12 (toward Kebler Pass) and go 17.8 miles to campground sign (Forest Rt. 706). Turn right at sign onto Rt. 706 and go 2.4 miles to campground.

The drive here is amazing and there are plenty of wildflowers to photograph in and near the campground.

Great Dispersed area

The campground was closed this weekend but we Disperse anyway, lovely area and fishing is great at the lake. Great place beautiful scenery elk bugle in the mornings. Quiet not to many people out on memorial weekend.

Mountain Paradise

This campground is so peaceful!! It is first come first served so we showed up early and ended up with the perfect spot. Site #5. Fit our 28ft camper just fine. Lots of space for our hammocks. Nice table and fire pit. Just loved everything about it! Close the water to fish in the canoe anytime. There was moose taking a swim in the mornings. Amazing to see. At night it is quiet and serene. Lost Lake is a place to relax and unwind and just enjoy the surroundings. This quickly became our new favorite campground.

Perfection

This campgeound is so peaceful!! Showed up early and got the perfect spot. Site #5. Lots of space for our hammocks. Nice table and fire pit. Just loved everything about it! Close the water to fish in the canoe anytime. At night it is quiet and serene. This quickly became our new favorite campground.

Amazing campsite

We stayed in this area, did not stay in the lost lake camping sites as everything was full but along the road there are loads of places to pull off and camp! Secluded and really a peaceful place!

Hard to get to, yet peaceful and quiet

Pretty, quiet, smaller campground. I was on site 5 and could hear a stream ~100ft away and see the lake on the other side of me.

Came on a Friday around 3pm and got a site. Apparently we got lucky. There were a few neighbors who let us know since they have been there at least a week. There were people who were camping off the side of the road in that looked very secluded and private.

You’ll lose internet connection about an hour before getting there. Make sure to get gas for your car too, it’s pretty rare to find substantial towns on the way in.

Beautiful Mountain Campground

We happened on to this campground by accident and were so glad we did. The facilities are nice and clean. The lake is beautiful. There is a lot of hiking in the area. Loved it! We will return.

Great campground you don't have to leave!

Stumbled upon this place accidentally one weekend. There are some reserve able sites near the lake, and some first come/first serve sites as well. Also dispersed camping on the way up to the campground. Place for your horses, group sites, small sites, lakeside site, trailer sites, this place has it all! Great fishing on the lower lake, hike up to the pass or upper lakes. Great trails surround this campground . Spectacular fall foliage! Camp host you can get wood from. Bathrooms and great hammock spots, nice pull in spots for your car, accessible in any vehicle! Fire rings and picnic tables, everything in great shape.
